My Place Hotel - Colorado Springs, CO

10/10 Excellent

"The neighboring construction, lack of breakfast, and limited parking when full. Would be helpful to have plastic wear available in the hotel, but it worked great for our quick getaway to stay near the ford amphitheater! The staff was also very kind in helping us every time we locked ourselves out or forgot our keys."

"This hotel is by far the worst we have ever been in, and we have stayed at many hotels. To start off it took 3 times asking for a rollaway bed, and we finally got it around 9:30 at night. It took 2 days/4 times mentioning to the staff to possibly get our room cleaned, but after the 4th time we just had to switch rooms because it was past 10pm and still hadn’t been cleaned. This hotel is extremely run down and not taken care of at all. The carpets look like they have never been vacuumed, everything looks very dirty, and the air vent in our first bathroom was just a hole in the wall with a vent covering it and had no duct work. The AC filter was filthy and we had to clean it to have any cool air blowing out of it. We even went to the desk to ask for a box fan and was told they didn’t have any, but if we wanted to run to the nearby Walmart and get o e they closed in 15 minutes. Stay clear of this hotel, pay a few hundred more and go to a branded hotel. I can’t express how horrible this hotel is and how run down EVERYTHING is. From the exterior to the interior, it is all a hot mess. The breakfast was horrible, and out of 5 mornings we only ate breakfast twice, once on our first morning, then the 2nd just to make sure it wasn’t just a one off, only to have a horrible breakfast again. Don’t waste your money on this hotel, stay clear. The bad reviews you have seen are all truth, trust what others have said. THIS IS A HORRIBLE HOTEL!!!!"

"Our room was dirty. The bathroom was nasty! The girl at the front counter was on a personal call talking in a foreign language, while checking us in. She barely said 2 words to us. She more into her personal phone call, than helping us. She gave us our key cards and room number and went back to her phone call. Didn’t even tell us where our room was, just the number. Didn’t explain breakfast times, like most people do. I drove around the building twice before finding our room. Breakfast was a joke. No juice, no water, no coffee. They had waffle batter that came out as slow as molasses and burned. You can hear the outside traffic on Garden Of The Gods rd and traffic from I-25. Bring earplugs if you want to get a good nights sleep. Definitely NOT staying here again."
