"We certainly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Monnickendam is a cute little town with a nice market, shops and restaurants. Just a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam - very convenient. On the houseboat you find everything you need. Perfect spot in the evening is on the rooftop. Our host provided us with a very warm welcome. Communication was easy and very pleasant. Getting used to the dry toilet is a little challenge - there are „normal“ toilets in the main building."

"Von der Unterkunft aus kann man viele interessante Orte mit dem Fahrrad erreichen; im Ort kann man das Notwendigste einkaufen und Essen gehen. Leider gab es so viele Mücken, dass wir nur mit geschlossenen Fenstern schlafen konnten (ein Müvkennetz über den Betten oder vor einer der Türen wäre hilfreich) Im Übrigen ist die Unterkunft etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was sehr schade ist.
