Lovely little hotel close to the beach

A neat and character filled hotel near the Nice Promenade de Anglais. Very clean and a great breakfast was included that fueled us fo the day ahead. The staff were very helpful and the room and bathroom was modern and very functional

Freindly staff always smiling and willing to help. Room was nice and clean.Terrace was great for a morning coffee. Location was ideal out of the hustle yet easily walkable to restaurants and shops with also great transport links.

Hi, we stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. We found the hotel in an ideal setting for both transfers to and from the airport and conveniently situated for walking to the promenade, restaurants, bus, tram and train. Staff were pleasant and extremely helpful in terms of offering valuable advice as regards open top bus tour, directions to get to train station. The breakfast area was very nice too in a clean and well-furnished large room. Breakfast didn’t disappoint either as have all Expedia booked hotels so far. Very good range of cooked/hot and continental style breakfast. Only down side was that our room didn’t have an air extractor in the toilet. This wouldn’t stop us coming back though but I would advise that this be fitted. Room had great air conditioner too which is a must in Nice. For a 3 star hotel, we thought it offered great value and ticked a lot of boxes.

Great location, great staff

Friendly staff. Great location: nearby the beatch and tram 2 station (great connection from/to airport). Room was nice and tiny. Breakfast was ok. Only negative thing was the shower cubicle. It didn't look clean.

We have stayed at this hotel four times, and until now we have always enjoyed our visits. For the price, the hotel has consistently offered great value the breakfast is excellent, and the location is fantastic. Unfortunately, our most recent stay was extremely disappointing. When we booked in advance, nowhere on the website, the app, or in any direct communication were we informed that major renovation work was taking place. Upon arrival, we discovered that the entire 1st and 2nd floors were under construction. Builders were drilling and hammering for 12 hours straight, from 8am to 8pm every day, making it impossible to rest. It even seemed like some of the workers were staying in the hotel for convenience. While we understand that December is the off-season and renovations are sometimes necessary, guests must be notified in advance. If we had known about the construction, we would certainly have booked elsewhere especially since we were only staying for two nights. Unfortunately, this stay left us absolutely exhausted. We hope the hotel improves its communication in the future, because we have enjoyed staying here before and would happily return once the renovation work is completed. However, at the moment, there is no way to know when that will be.

Happy with hotel

Arrived early so kept luggage until check in time of 3pm. Room not big and woukd have preferred walk in shower but told would have to request in advance. Good breakfast and location excellent for tram from airport and town. 5 min walk to prom.

The staff were very helpful and the hotel was close to the promenade. The hotel itself was decent, the terrace was great BUT the Wi-Fi at this place is absolutely atrocious. It barely works. Kicks you off frequently and was not usable. In 2025, this should not be the case anywhere. So if you want to stay and have no use for Wi-Fi, then it's a great place to stay at. For me, no functioning Wi-Fi is a deal breaker.

Property was disappointing, since the ratings seemed so much better. Staff was helpful but facilities were very average. The room was a little run down and small. The bed was very conformable and liked that the windows faced a courtyard. Also, unlimited coffee and water in lobby were nice perks.

Good stay at Locarno Hotel

Good stay at Locarno! Service is top notch from front desk to breakfast staff. Rooms are clean and decent size and we benefitted with a small balcony. Location is good close to Promenade Anglais, and convenient to trams/buses. Breakfast had quite a few options. Only cons… towels could use replacing with fluffier new towels. Shower door leaked so always some water on floor after shower. No Kleenex in room and toilet paper not the softest. Everything else was great and I recommend this hotel.
