Robin Cottage 4* Holiday Cottage In Dartmoor National Park
The 4* Holiday Cottage surrounded by Dartmoors stunning scenery and only a five minute walk from open moorland, granite tors or the Dart Valley. A traditional Dartmoor pub is within easy walking distance. We are not a traditional farm, we have a breeding herd of Alpacas which graze peacefully in the fields nearby. We also keep a trekking team of llamas close by. Robin Cottage is just moments away from open moorland with stunning scenery, wild open spaces of Dartmoor National Park not forgetting river valleys, granite tors and much more. Robin Cottage may not be what you would expect a Dartmoor cottage to be, The building was constructed in the late 1990’s as a farm building, The buildings were converted into two cottages designed with accessibility in mind. Robin Cottage is attached to our home in the other cottage. There is a double bedroom, twin room, shower room, lounge and well equipped kitchen. There are French doors onto a large decked area looking over the garden and with stunning views of the surrounding moor and farmland. The cottage sits in a secluded peaceful location next to our fields in which our Alpacas graze. The Deck has a table and chairs ideal for having your breakfast on a sunny morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The Hot Tub is situated in the Garden and is exclusive to Guests from 2pm until 9pm We have a wide variety of wild birds visiting the bird table in the garden and there are bird books in the cottage to help identify them. Other wildlife can often be seen including foxes, rabbits and a family of stoats. Robin Cottage is comfortable and well equipped, in the double bedroom the Kingsize bed now has a lovely cosy Alpaca Duvet and a memory foam mattress. The twin bedroom has two full size single beds and is spacious with plenty of drawer and hanging space The lounge has a comfy sofa, and two chairs a dining area with table and chairs next to a very well equipped kitchen with Dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, full size oven with ceramic hob, there is a washing line provided in the garden There is heating and a electric woodburner to give a warm glow in the evenings. The TV is flat screen and has an inbuilt DVD player and a streaming device attached. I am sure that you will find Robin Cottage very comfortable and the location ideal for exploring Dartmoor and the surrounding area.

Clean, bright, spacious and well equipped cottage with everything you need. Stunning views, beautiful garden with a hot tub. Alpacas in the field and many different birds come to visit. Hosts were friendly, welcoming and nothing was to much trouble.
Lovely property, very well equipped and furnished, lovely and comfortable.
Location was super peaceful with lots of local access to the moors.
Hope to visit again!
Amazing views; great accommodation with everything one could need for a comfortable stay, and very friendly hosts. A super holiday home in a location ideal for exploring the lovely countryside.
Thorougly enjoyable.
We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage. Steve and Diana were wonderful hosts and always made sure we had all we needed. The property itself is a fantastic one and is a real home from home. The hot tub is a really nice added extra! It is lovely to see the animals and birds in the mornings and this is an ideal place to just relax. There are some great pubs in the area as well and a village about a 15 min drive away. We will definitely be visiting again.
Wow, absolutely beautiful, the countryside is amazing, then to be met by our alpaca neighbours was wonderful. Steve and Diane are great hosts and truly lucky to have such a lovely place.
This place is truly magnificent, the wildlife and countryside surrounding is stunning. Keep an eye out for the Hummingbird Hawk Moths, the stars and if your lucky the Milky Way. We cannot wait to return.
We were made very welcome with mulled wine and cream tea, plus being shown how everything works in the house. The house was cosy and warm, has everything you need - and more: fantastic views, good walks nearby and of course the hot tub. Sitting in there on Christmas morning with the alpacas curiously peering over the wall was simply heavenly! Thank you!
Excellent in every way, apart, that is, for the weather, which Diane & Steve had no control over. However, we still managed to get out and about, had meals out most days and ate in when we wanted to do. The cottage was warm and had everything necessary, including all the birds that came to feed plus the Llamas and Alpaca's in the adjacent field.
Steve was a mine of information, as was Diane, and we quite often put the world to rights.
Finishing off every day in the hot tub was the icing on the cake, as we said, we shall return.
We really enjoyed our week here. Very peaceful location, very comfy beds, and friendly and helpful owners. The kids enjoyed feeding the alpacas and riding their bikes on the field next door. We all enjoyed the hot tub, and making a fire on the hill and toasting marshmallows. Lots of things to do and see in Dartmoor, or 30 mins to nice coast at Teignmouth or Paignton. Come prepared in terms of food/drink as the nearest shop is about 15 mins drive away. Bring your road bike but only if you like 25% gradients :)
Property was very homely and we were made to feel very welcome. We visited the chickens, llamas and alpacas, fed them and even helped with a little socialising of the animals. We had many lovely chats with the owners and we wished we could've stayed longer. Hot tub was great and so was the cream tea ( which I forgot to say thank you for-too busy chatting about other stuff). We were so sad to leave.
Great location for solitude and quiet and easy access to many walks and driving further into the moors. We were calling it home by day 2.
Thank you for a great time. Ps. Eggs were lovely
Excellent property in a beautiful location that love and thought has gone into to make your stay seem appreciated. A nice touch with the cream tea awaiting your arrival to welcome you after a long journey. We really needed a well earned break and this did the trick. The hot tub was great, enhanced with the view. The area is so quiet at night and little to no light pollution so you can appreciate the view of the night sky. So relaxing. Thank you !
Well equipped house, clear communication, very lovely hosts, beautiful area, lots of information about local area available, cream tea on arrival!! Wonderful area for exploring. Diane was a lovely friendly host. We would love to come back one day.

Relaxing break
We had a lovely relaxing break over New Year despite the weather. This is a very comftable and well equipped cottage. The alpacas in the adjacent field were a bonus and our son loved feeding and watching them. The Christmas decorations made it feel like home as well. The views are spectacular even in wet weather. There is a lot to do and see in the area for all ages.

Quality, private tranquil
The property was lovely - the photos don't do it justice! It had everything you could ever need, including lovely touches of a Devon cream tea, alpaca bedding, wonderful views. So private and peaceful, our boys loved the opportunity to feed the alpacas and see the llamas. It felt remote but was easily accessible to local amenities and perfect for us visiting family and friends in Tavistock. Thank you Diane and Steve - we will be back!
