This charming apartment is much larger than your typical studio, offering a separate bedroom and living space for a comfortable stay. Perfectly located just a few minutes’ walk from Thames Street, you’ll be close to all the shops, restaurants, and attractions of downtown Newport.

The first-floor unit features a fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals and a peaceful bedroom oasis for relaxing after a busy day of exploring. In warmer months, guests can enjoy the shared backyard with outdoor furniture, a gas grill, and a gas firepit. The apartment includes one onsite parking space, and tandem parking may be required; I’m happy to help coordinate moves if needed.

As a first-floor apartment on a busy street, some noise from cars and other residents is possible. The apartment offers speedy WiFi, towels, bedding, fixing for your morning cup of coffee, a white noise machine, and more. I’ve never once left a review on anything. I think it’s usually a waste of time and someone is gonna stay where they want to stay anyway. This host was so bad it broke that habit and belief for me. Everything was pretty good in terms of check in and proximity to local attractions. I reserved the place for about 5 weeks for work. I had an immediate family member die so I left my reservation early. While I’m planning a funeral I’m also communicating with the host who lied to me about the cancellation process. The host is completely capable of canceling from their end and to my understanding I believed she did. About a month later I check my statements and saw that the full charge remained. I messaged her and she said that Expedia/Vrbo required that the person reserving the place had to cancel. Fast forward a couple weeks later I called the help number these guys low balled me but ended up getting me almost all my refund. The host didn’t respond to their calls and also had no role in getting me the refund. I was only asking for a refund for the time I wasn’t there of course I have no problem paying for my time there. Anyway bottom line is that the host tried to scam me so just keep that in mind when reserving.

Location was PERFECT. It was wonderful to have all of the famous and popular Newport food spots so close and even the Cliff Walk was within walking distance. We never used a car while there, just an uber from airport and back. The VRBO is inside a cute historic house with a couple different units. We could hear the other tenants sometimes coming up and down the steps as the steps and front door of building are right outside the apartment door. But other than that we couldn’t hear anybody. Would recommend this space for a solo or couple trip as it was perfect for a little weekend trip.

Cute, Clean and Close to Downtown

We were attending a wedding at the Bohlin and were able to walk to and from the venue. The welcome get together was at the Brick Alley Pub, which was right around the corner. Property was as described. Thank you!

Perfect for a weekend getaway

Great location and exactly what my fiance needed for a short weekend in Newport. While it is a studio, there is plenty of space between the two rooms (bedroom and kitchen). The back patio was an added plus that we used as well! And can't beat the dedicated parking space. My one complaint is that the bedroom is right off the main road/sidewalk so it was pretty loud during our stay. We live in downtown Boston so are used to the street noise but I understand this may be bothersome for people looking for a more quiet spot.
