“This historic Victorian was once home to Admiral William Sowden Sims (past President of the Naval War College in Newport Rhode Island) which inspired the name of our accommodations, but now features King bed Studios with Kitchenette and fireplace including private baths, Cable TV, Air-Conditioning, Free Wi-Fi, and Free off-street parking.

It’s perfect for government / military per diem travel or for teleworkers who need a change of scenery.

The garden is private....yet just minutes away, you’re in the center of Newport’s many activities, historical attractions, fine restaurants, ocean beach, and unique shops. At the end of each day, you’ll return to sleep in quiet, historic settings.

Very cozy place to stay

This is a great place to stay in Newport. The house is amazing and the staff is very friendly. A breakfast bar is included and the room had a small kitchenette. We will definitely stay here again if we're in the area.

Great place to stay!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property is beautiful with lots of charm and character. The property managers weee very accommodating offering lots of amenities and personal touches that you wouldn’t get at a hotel. The location was perfectly tucked away from the busy streets but also an easy walk or drive to anything you want to see or do. The room was cozy and very clean upon arrival. Highly recommend staying here.

Cozy in the Fall

Our stay was in November and we traveled from Florida to enjoy some cooler weather and enjoy the history of the Northeast. Check in was easy and communication was excellent. The room was equipped with everything we needed. It was very clean and in a beautiful safe neighborhood.

Wonderful accommodations in Newport!

One of the best rentals we've ever stayed at. The house was fantastic, the room was immaculate and charming, the brand new porch area was very inviting.We were only there for one night, but would have definitely liked to stay longer. The owners really took care of making sure that the room had everything we could have imagined needing! Being able to bring our dog and have her feel comfortable in the room was fantastic! The house was in walking distance to downtown and the Cliff Walk. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property to anyone looking for a stay in Newport!

The adm sims house is a beautiful old home. We stayed in a room with kitchenette. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable with all the needed amenities. Will definitely return. I highly recommend this property.
