Very friendly staff Food from the resteraunt was amazing very comfy bed and cheaper than the premier inn down the road I feel like i owe them haha I shall definatly be staying here next year for the show that i was attending at newark showground

I booked the Chequers as a mid way journey point before moving to France. Hotel was easy to find and park car in large rear car park. Receptionist was enchanting and helpful. Bar staff were very good, friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and tidy. Whole venue oozes with character. All staff were exceptional. Thanks for a lovely stay 😊

Good value.

Good value for the price. Exceptionally clean.Large spacious room, very comfotable bed. I requested a ground floor room; I was told it would open onto the car park which is in a secure off-street courtyard, but that was actually very convenient for me. Good breakfast. Centrally located in Newbury.

Can not do better!

The room was clean and sooo big. The breakfast was very good with more than enough choices of food. The receptionist and the bar staff very extremely helpful. Have stayed on several occasions and have never been disappointed, will be booking in again later in the year.
