Union Square is a plaza… a park… a market… and it’s THE place to enjoy the life and soul of downtown Manhattan.

If there is one central place to hang out and experience the energy of central New York, it’s Union Square. New Yorkers and visitors alike love this central square for its eclectic mix of people and events. Watch the locals play chess or walk their dogs, admire the street performers, shop at the Greenmarket, or chat to a fortune teller. Look for the steaming Metronome and work out the time from the digits on The Passage.

The woman at the front desk was great. 2 funny observations: Had to put the coffee maker on the floor for the plug to reach an outlet. I really dislike flavored creamer for my coffee and that's all that was available. Also great location, I love that part of NYC TY, Eric N.

Room was cozy. A little noisy if you on the street side - but it is right near Broadway so to be expected. If you want to see lots of broad shows this is a place for you. That’s right in the heart of midtown. The 6.50 breakfast is great. Staff at front counter could be a little bit more helpful. ...
