Millers Den at Avenwood Cabins

  • Summary:

    This rustic retreat at Avenwood Cabins features the feel of a miller's homestead. Included in this cabin is a full kitchen, bathroom, and a gas fireplace to cozy up in the living room! Soak in the hot tub with a view of the forest, fire up our charcoal grill, or just relax with a fire in your fire pit! Our cabins offer a queen-sized bed for guest comfort, air conditioning for those warmer months, and WIFI and Roku TV to keep you connected. And don't forget your fur baby, we are pet-friendly!

    This is a private cabins, no spaces are shared



    Guest Access:

    Our property has one main driveway that loops for convenience. Each cabin has its own parking spot, so no fighting over parking!



    The Neighborhood:

    All of our Avenwood cabins are in the heart of Wayne National Forest. ATVs and horseback riding or just a few of the offerings that they offer. Hocking Hills attractions are just a short 10-15 minute drive (Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, etc.) along with ziplining, canoeing, hiking, and all the other adventures you are looking for! Looking for something a little bit more low-key? Take a jaunt out to Hocking Hills Winery and Brewery33 to taste some of our locally made adult beverages. For your convenience, downtown Logan is another great stop where you can grab a fresh-out-of-the-oven donut and check out some local shops.

Perfect little cabin, I stayed with my dogs! Hot tub was perfect, covered balcony and comfortable bed. Kitchen was very basic but did the trick!

The cabin was beautiful, clean, and cozy. The hot tub was wonderful. Shower is tiny and matress dips in the middle (but that just made us snuggle more). Overall it was the perfect getaway!!!

The cabin was perfect for a New Year’s Eve getaway. The fireplace inside was wonderful to have and proximity to plenty of hiking in the area was great for our trip. They even left us champagne to celebrate the new year which was a very thoughtful touch. Would recommend!

Peaceful Getaway

Secluded feel down a winding back road. The cabin was perfect for us, cozy and had a warm atmosphere. The hot tub was a must after adventuring throughout the parks. It was clean, looked newer inside, and the only thing we needed to bring was coffee for the coffee maker. We didnt want to leave and will absolutely stay here again :)

Great weekend getaway

Loved this trip away. Tucked away with privacy. The hot tub was really nice. Bed was comfortable. Only thing I would say that we didn’t like or use was the couch. It appeared dirty with stains and was very small. You have to visit M&M diner in downtown Logan. The food was great and the atmosphere was awesome. Also loved the brewery/winery at 58 west in downtown Logan.

It was a very nice and secluded property. Exactly what we were looking for. The cabin smelled clean the second you walked in. The couch could be updated and the shower was incredibly small. Other than those two inconveniences, we would definitely come back again.

The cabin itself what's clean but the hot tub needed a good cleaning to the point that we didn't want to use it. They're also was no grill as shown. Also if you're thinking about renting it the shower is very very small. Otherwise it was a great location in the cabin itself was pretty.

So close to perfect

The property was secluded and very private. I was able to come and go with no issues and found the property with ease. I would say the property is an 7/10, with a few updates like better dishes and the hot tub revamped it would be a 10/10. I will check on updates before booking again but my stay was very enjoyable!
