"The house is beautiful. It snowed while we were there and we were cozy and warm inside with the warmth and ambiance of the gas logs. Gorgeous view. Comfortable beds. Very clean. We are talking about going back in the summer! "

"Nice place, plenty of room. It was nice to hear the river at night. But the walk to the river demands paying attention. Game room is good for kids. Beds sleep good. Kitchen is well equipped. Hot tub is clean. Nice fire pit. Drive way demands paying attention as well. Good place especially if you wanted to fish."

"Loved the area, just what we needed: peace and quiet. Loved the mountains. The property was huge and well maintained. So much room for my dogs. Loved that you can explore the property as well. The house is a family home with lots of sentimental value. It is an older house but cozy. I do have to mention the layout of the house is a bit interesting as you have to pass through one of the rooms to get to the bathroom. Additionally, I would say the rooms do not have lots of privacy. Also the storage room does not have a door but it is okay since it is in the back of the house. Overall I would recommend booking this property if you want a nice relaxing vacation to escape the city. Also the hosts were amazing and very quick to respond. There was an electrical outage in the area and the host was very communicative and even sent a family member to check up on us. "

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a cute little A-frame - perfect for a couple. The location is quiet and private and provides some really nice views. The bed is comfortable and overall the place is fine. We didn't get to use the hot top because it was 15 degrees and windy! The place does need some updating, however - especially with respect to the kitchen. Also, there are no curtains on any windows, which is mostly OK but does mean that you will probably be waking up early and at certain times of day (morning) the glare on the TV makes it difficult to watch. With respect to the mgmt, there was no dishwashing liquid at the house when we arrived - which is not a bid deal except for the fact that it was a 25 minute drive out to get some. This was apparently just a mistake and they were very apologetic but I still had to go get it."

"Everything was excellent. The host was very thoughtful and had texted ahead of schedule anticipating our needs based off of the cold weather. The cabin was beautiful; it was well stocked and well maintained. We would stay here again, and several of my friends and family (after seeing pictures of our stay) have asked for the cabin information."

"The Trout Lily Cabin is very comfortable, well appointed, warm (we stayed in November). We especially liked the wood burning stove, the comfortable living room seating, the availability of sheets and towels, and the kitchen tools/utensils/knives. The bunk beds and futons for the kids worked well. I would recommend bringing your own pillows if it's feasible as the extra firm bed and old pillow combination in the loft bedroom was not great."

"A beautiful setting on the New River, On River Time was the perfect base for a weekend spent hiking. We enjoyed the hot tub, porch overlooking the river, and making dinner in the kitchen."
