I’d like to say a big thank you to Terry! I sent photos of the rooms to everyone and they all loved how luxurious the rooms looked. Every detail was looked after, and I especially loved the bay window in my room. Thanks again for an amazing stay :)

Great room. Highly recommended. Wouldn’t rate the breakfast. Lack of staff and had to eat at a unclean table.

Loved the silver milk jug in our room, comfortable bed, jazzy pictures, robes, spa bath, port in the wee library, everything was quirky. Dog friendly too. The restaurant looked fabulous, so much to see. Friendly hosts.

A Really Nice Hotel
Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Right next to a main road so could be a little traffic noise at night. Very central and right opposite St Mary's Cathedral

We had a lovely time at The Nice. Great atmosphere, decor, close to CBD, waterfront & Pukekura Park. Staff were very pleasant & helpful. Great restaurant for dinner. Next time we'll book one of the rooms that doesn't back onto Vivian St, which gets very busy & noisy.

Everything was great apart from a water drip outside our window, the consequence of heavy rain. We alerted the team to this and they apologised but were grateful for the heads-up.

The way a Hotel should be...
A fabulously sumptuous hotel in central New Plymouth, beautify decor and furnishings and friendly staff reminds me of the old Langham in Auckland before the “modernised” it.. Wine collection is extensive which is great to see, Food is beautiful presented and well made. So thank you making our stay in New Plymouth enjoyable. Only down side is some general maintenance could do with some TLC e.e broken locks, missing paint from doors and frames
