This hostel is very affordable and the shared kitchen areas were average and ok to use but the overall campground buildings and family units are very run down both outside and inside. There was also a continual bad smell which smelled like very dirty washing and body odour. There were also long term tenants in the room next to us and we could literally smell a bad odour coming out of the room The actual nature part of the campgrounds outside was quite pretty and the location in terms of getting to the city centre was a short drive which was helpful. The check in was very old school with it taking a long time but the staff person who served us was friendly enough. The entire property really does need a good clean and spruce up.
They didn’t allow dogs not even if the dog stayed in car pretty much had to find somewhere else which we did a beautiful hotel that said yes to us having our dog in our car
Booked through Expedia and paid in full online for 10 people . Upon arrival, we were unexpectedly charged almost $300 extra.
We had booked a standard dorm that sleeps 10 and were told that if we didn’t pay the additional amount, other people would be placed in the room as well. Very confusing and unprofessional, and it was unclear who was actually at fault.
We were also wrongly accused of smoking marijuana when I was vaping outside anyone with basic knowledge can tell the difference.
Reception staff stood in the doorway trying to find “evidence,” but couldn’t find anything.
To make matters worse, a young boy kept coming into the room and taking photos of our belongings and the room, which felt invasive and completely inappropriate.
Overall, the experience was uncomfortable and poorly handled. Would not recommend staying here.

Suited our needs
Lovely staff, met some lovely people from overseas. Very nice dining room. We were out and about a lot so didn't spend lots of time here but suited our needs. Facilities were clean and were cleaned on a regular basis while we were there. Was very quiet and lovely atmosphere.
For the price and as an emergency stop, it was great!
There are signs at the property saying "check-in at 5pm" which doesn't reflect what's on this listing (says you can check in until 9pm). We were lucky that it was a busy night and another group was also checking in late, so no troubles. They will also ask for your ID and address.
If you want to go to mountain this place is not for you. Bad information about tours.
Place is Noisy can t sleep at night. Owners i found that is bully calling me young men even we look the same ages... bigist is owners are so racist. Give white good infor about the places and tours but not to asians . Naver go back.

The facilities we at on the weekend, is poor and stinks like a place that wasn't used, for a long time.
We are very disappointed, the pillow is not for your sleeping, I don't know what i call it.
It's not hygiene, for ten people to sleep inside, you should cut down to a healthy number, and not the money. . I want to talked about this issue but it falls in death ears. Disappointed and disgusting.

Room I booked was misrepresented on Expedia. I booked a 'cabin' showing a photo of a small room with double bed and bunk, but on arrival I got told I had booked a dormitory (large room with multiple bunk beds only). Have requested a refund.
Amazing service! The lady staffing the reception was super nice. Great to be given extra blankets and a heater in winter since it was freezing out, and the price for the room was decent.

I hate to say, wouldnt stay again. Usually check in is 2pm. This place a hard 5pm. We arrived just after 4pm and no wouldn't check us in. Pics showed a TV. No TV. Had adjoining rooms we couldn't lock from our side so had to trust staff. Gave us a sheet and pillow cases and made us feel like we should of had them, yet we told all provided No internet. Do not recommend for families. We have stayed many places and only exoect what they say. Pay for what ylu expect but at 185 expected more.
This accommodation was below expectations. Everything was clean, but the place was run down and eery. I wouldn't have felt safe staying there alone. No smoke alarms either. Won't be going back. Smelled of cigarette smoke. It's more like a very basic holiday park than a backpackers. The short check-in timeframe at 5pm was inconvenient, but I knew about that before booking. It's surrounded by bush, which is nice, and has a pretty stream behind, but it had an isolated feeling with few guests, and an uneasy vibe. Was cheap though, and conveniently located. Person at reception was friendly.
I liked how there was outside seating rooms were very tidy also

Disliked: Cleanliness
Every curtain in the unit is black with mildew. Dish brush in kitchen, all bristles were BLACK. Kitchen floor had crusty old food from previous guests. Picture on web site showed a TV, but was not one in the unit.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The property surroundings are nice and also handy to town. The room was clean and tidy but very basic. Bring your own towels and tea bags. Great for a quick stopover or camping. Would stay again and recommend for a quick visit.
