The canal street inn is a perfect counterbalance to the vim and vigor of a day (or night) in New Orleans. The home from which it is built is an excellently renovated early 1900s mansion. The decor keeps that classic feel, with the necessary modern touches to make it feel like home. My wife and I stayed for a much needed week away and our room was comfortable, quiet and also very spacious and well adorned.
For breakfast we were met by “Pat”, the chef and she made us feel like we were in a family or friends house. She was sharp and fun, and made us a delicious breakfast with a southern twist every morning.
The neighborhood is great to walk in. It is well located with a streetcar stop right across the street to take you down to Bourbon street or up to city park. There is even a hot tub tucked away behind the property which gave relief after long hot days walking through town.
In summary, we loved it…and anyone that wants to stay somewhere outside of, but close to the action, will love it to.
Note: I am not paid or an endorser (or influencer *blech*) in any way. It really was that great! I’ve stayed in many hotels of many chains and a number of B&Bs to boot. This was one of the best of all of them.
