"The only thing I can say bad about this hotel is that I was only able to stay overnight! It is an older hotel, as mentioned in other reviews, but they did an excellent job with the renovations. Everything looked well-kept and clean. The registration area smelled heavenly! The staff were friendly and helpful. I would have loved to stay one more day just to relax."

"Ended up checking in late (1245am) due to an ER visit for my daughter. Had to wait about 15-20mins for someone to appear at front desk - this was after saying hello loudly several times and calling the front desk from the lobby phone. Then our key didnt work for the room. Came down, got another, still didnt work. Third time, front desk person came up and let us in with the master and said to mention it in the morning to the front desk. Alot of help that was since we were only there a night. The breakfast was good and the front desk person was very friendly in the morning."

"clean room everything provided and worked free parking - spaces can be a little tight with suv's but very convenient - door locks and tv's are timed to stop working after midnight hours but front desk can unlock door and tv should restart after a few tries otherwise all works fine - rooms are temp controlled not too loud and seemed quiet for most part can hear doors open and close a little but not much from hallway while sleeping overall great for comfort and price - very good location - clean/quiet - been here many times and plan to return"

"The bed took up most of the usable space in the room. Toiletries were minimal but adequate. Mini-fridge and microwave functional though microwave a trifle dodgy. No place to sit down except on the bed. Older property refurbished and fairly clean. For the solo (and definitely solo) traveller who wants to save money, this is a good but minimal choice."

"My family of 6 stayed and it was perfect. We didn’t leave the property much, we enjoyed the lake and grilled. Everything we needed to cook was there. It’s beautifully decorated and very comfortable. I’d definitely recommend it."

"The Village Inn and Event Center is an excellent place to stay! From Kay at the front desk to Marilynn in the restaurant, to David in the Crosby Pub, to the cleaning crews who tend to the guests rooms, everyone is excellent at what they do and treat you with warmth, a smile and a genuine desire to please and accommodate. The room was well appointed and extremely clean!"
