"We love Papakea and have stayed many times, but this particular unit, F101, was not up to the standards of other units. While ocean front is nice, the inside needs a serious update. There are cracked tiles on the bathroom floor and the furniture in the living room is scratched up and not comfortable to sit on. The A/C unit is not strong enough to push air into the bedroom which was the hottest part of the unit. There are no extras in the unit, like beach chairs or boogie boards which other units have. The curtains in the living room look very dingy in appearance and they did not match the ones on the sliding glass door. Everything else about this resort is perfect."

"Parking - no issues, plenty. The resort - friendly staff and people, very clean and beautiful-loved all the cats and birds. Location of resort was great - Lahaina was just a few miles away and quite a few beach parks close by. The condo was prefect for our group of 5 - very clean and well stocked from bathroom towels and supplies to beach towels to beach chairs, umbrellas, and snorkle gear. Absolutely beautiful sunsets from the Lani and the view of the ocean was amazing too. Great communication with the host from check in to checkout. In summary - a 10 out of 10.."

"We loved the Hono Koa vacation club for our stay. It was all the amenities of being at home but on vacation. After long day out in the beautiful ocean water it was nice to get in and shower and relax. Only thing is there was no A/C just fans we opened our patio doors and windows and got the cool ocean breeze a few nights. That would be our only complaint is no A/C"

"The rental was clean and inviting. It’s a little smaller than I thought it would be from the photos but had everything I needed for a great stay. The host responded quickly to my questions as well. I’d definitely recommend this for one or two people to stay in Maui."

"This has been the most beautiful and easy going experience I’ve had. The location is perfect, so close to a lot of fun activities and the beach is right there! I used this time to propose to my gf (my now fiancée!) and what could have been stressful became magical! I cannot thank the hosts enough, as they went above and beyond to make sure we had an awesome experience. Hurricane La La passed by and although there were some power issues, we felt safe, and the hosts checked in on us to make sure we were ok! It turned out to be a unique vacation to remember, and by far made my proposal one of a kind! I highly recommend this! We will absolutely be back!"

"The room was in a great location with a great beach right across the street, food and coffee in walking distance! The condo was amazing, very clean big and bright, cool electric blinds plenty of space with kids. Full kitchen was awesome for some grocery shopping and cooking and the property grounds were beautiful"
