Melanie was incredible communicative and responsive, and Steve dropped by periodically to ensure we were doing okay or whether we needed anything. The space itself is very large - it could easily accommodate parents and two kids. It is a quaint, Hawaiian themed place that you can tell has been decorated with great care and shone with personality! It is about a half hour drive to Hilo and an hour to Volcanoes National...

We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. Great jumping off point to see sites on this side of the island (Hilo, Volcano, towns that existed a few years ago but then were taken by lava). "Of all the VRBO houses we have stayed in, this one is probably our favorite! The location was ideal with the constant lulling sound of waves and birds we've never heard. Most of the grounds are gorgeous gardens with beautiful evening lights. This is the cleanest place we stayed on the entire island. Pride is taken in every way. Highly recommend"

"From the first day we booked to the day that we left, we received almost immediate responses to every question we asked. As usual, there were a couple of arrival difficulties, but the host quickly took care of those. The house is beautiful. We were able to walk to the point and watch the waves and even some whales. They also made great suggestions about restaurants and supermarkets in the area."

"Beautiful spot, house is large, nicely furnished and decorated with a well stocked kitchen and other amenities. In a residential neighborhood, very friendly atmosphere and pleasant area to walk around. Pahoa is a quiet town, has a nice new grocery market and a few fun places to go out to eat or drink. We saw tons of whales go by from the lanai and enjoyed short day trips to Hilo and Volcano."

"We decided to rent a beach house to house a few family members who flew over from Catalina Island to come to my Dad's Celebration of Life!
