Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Nametsu?
The best time to go to Nametsu is during spring (April to May) for cherry blossom viewing or autumn (October to November) for the vibrant foliage.

Spring in Nametsu is particularly lovely, with the cherry blossoms (sakura) blooming across the city. The area around Shiroishi River Embankment is especially popular for its "Hitome Senbonzakura" (a thousand cherry trees at a glance), offering stunning views of the blossoms against the backdrop of the Zaō Mountains. This period is great for couples seeking a romantic and picturesque getaway, with opportunities for scenic strolls and photography.

Autumn provides a different but equally spectacular natural display as the leaves turn brilliant shades of red, orange, and gold. The gorges and mountainous areas, such as the Naruko Gorge, become particularly beautiful.

Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy.
