Affordable, clean, room are super spacious, very suitable for small family (mine is family of 3). Get to experience public bath and onsen. Strategically located - near to many eateries and walkable to main attractions like Zao Ropeway
We had a large Japanese style room. The onsen was good. Breakfast at the nearby hotel on the way to the ski lifts was a bargain for 980 yen!! It is about a 15 minute walk to the nearest supermarket
We loved: (1) the spotlessly clean and spacious room and communal areas (2) the view of trees and the sound of the river outside our room (3) relaxing in the hotel's indoor and outdoor hot spring pools (4) helpful staff.
The only thing that could be improved would be teabags (お茶 or black tea), either for free in the room or to purchase from the front desk.
Older building, but it’s clean and spacious for our family of three inside the Japanese style room. Comfortable is warm, pillows is ok. There is onsen inside the hotel. But there’s shower and sink and bathroom too, inside the Japanese style room where we stayed. Outdoor onsen was not available the time when we stayed because of the heavy snow. But there’s private onsen for rent hourly! Free bread and coffee for breakfast 0739-0830 (very short period of time)
One receptionist speaks English well.
