"Nice and clean"

"My husband I and our daughter booked this hotel online to go see the NY Islanders the weekend of April 11th and 12th We chose this hotel due to it being close to the arena and stating online it’s a 13 minute walk. Upon arriving to the hotel it looks nothing like the pictures and it is not really safe to walk to the arena unless you want to cross highways, etc. Upon arriving, the clerk at the desk would not even acknowledge us. She was on a facetime or a phone call on speaker because she continued her conversation with this person the entire time. I said we are checking in. The response I got was ID. Then waiting for minutes while she continued her conversation. Then asked you have a car – fill this out this card. Then hands us a room key with the number. The entire time she is in a full blown conversation. Upon entering the room, the smell of cigarette smoke was terrible. We booked a non smoking room but you can tell that the smoke smell was embedded in the room. It was so bad we knew there was no way we could stay 2 nights. My husband went to front desk to ask if we could cancel the room for Sunday night. We were denied any refund. After going to dinner there a male clerk sprayed the room for us but it did nothing. We got up the next day and left as soon as we could drove home 3 hours after the night game and took showers as the smell was in our hair, etc. The next day I had to wash everything in the suitcases and air them out!"

"Absolutely enjoyed our stay here! The rooms were very nice, spacious, and very clean. Andrew (staff) and Malakai (staff) were also very helpful in every aspect considering it was our first time in New York and they were a joy to be around! 10/10 would recommend staying here! "

"I don’t even stay their I tried to call when I got there there where people outside smoking I don’t know what and I did not feel safe to stay there with my daughter I tried to cancel they said it was a third party and I couldn’t when I call Expedia you guys were no help at all as well"

"Overall, a pleasant stay. Would like to see TEA and coffee in the rooms, not just coffee. Restaurant could do better with food (quality) and service. Front desk folks were excellent. Hotel shuttle to airport was awesome to have."
