"We though how cliché to stay in a houseboat in the Netherlands and this one was perfect. It is updated in a very modern style and included everything we might need. The views from the back deck were very nice & allowed us to watch the sunset. The location is perfect in the quiet town of Aalsmeer yet a short drive to Keukenhof & Amsterdam. "

"The houseboat was amazing! It was incredibly serene and quiet, making it a wonderful place to relax. We were not far from Aalsmeer, which is a lovely town to explore. We took taxis to Hoofddorp, where we could easily hop on the train to travel around the area. The houseboat itself was spacious and comfortable to move around in, and both the beds and couches were very comfortable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the houseboat to others. There were two concerns worth...

"We had a wonderful stay with Deep and Julie on their Catermeran. We enjoyed some wonderful sailing and anchored near an Island for the night. We had a lovely evening sharing stories over dinner and watching the sun go down! I was impressed how warm and cosy the boat was and how well we all slept! Waking up surrounded by nature and beautiful scenery in the morning was very special and we enjoyed basking up the sunshine before setting sail. It was a great adventure for both children and adults...

"Great overall experience. It is situated in a calm area but close to all you could want to do as a tourist. We walked everywhere. Sitting on the deck for coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening is great - you get see the boats and also the cute ducks. The bed and sofa are very comfortable. Very clean and all we needed was provided. A little tricky to get on and off with luggage but on arrival we did get help. Something to consider if you have mobility issues."

"This houseboat was an excellent choice for our trip to Amsterdam! It’s centrally located, clean, looks exactly like the pictures, and our host Casper was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend, and would stay here again. He provided solid recommendations for exploring the beautiful city!"

"A very unique and accommodating experience. The hosts were wonderful and the location was quite scenic. The unit itself was as advertised and very tastefully done. We will definitely be staying here again when we are in Amsterdam."

"Great location - quiet but close to places to walk to. Excellent attention from owners."

"We certainly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Monnickendam is a cute little town with a nice market, shops and restaurants. Just a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam - very convenient. On the houseboat you find everything you need. Perfect spot in the evening is on the rooftop. Our host provided us with a very warm welcome. Communication was easy and very pleasant. Getting used to the dry toilet is a little challenge - there are „normal“ toilets in the main building."
