River Birches architectural quality and detail was exceptionally pleasing to the eye.

We loved our stay at the Rocky Mountain Chalets! The facilities are great and it felt like a home away from home. It was very tidy, warm and had great space to dry our damp snow gear overnight. We will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, great views, great hospitality, fantastic breakfast, absolutely nothing to complain about

Very clean. Well maintained property. Good location. Peaceful and quiet.

Beautiful lake front property with excellent amentities and little extra's - complimentary bike hire, mineral pool on your deck, lovely bathroom amenities and coffee!!

Great place, very clean, well located and friendly staff. No hesitation in recommending this place to anyone.

Excellent place to stay and meet up with friends.

We checked in after hours to the property, which was easy and stress free. We were also ecstatic when we saw the room. It was very spacious, clean and the heat pump had been left on to make the room toasty warm for our arrival. Additionally they had gone the extra mile to provide a map to our room and info on how to connect to the wifi in an envelope which I really appreciated. Enjoyed our stay. Property is clean and tidy and the hostess is lovely.

Everything was immaculate, the staff were LOVELY, we needed to arrive late, the key was left where it was easily accessible, the light was on in our room, the two pools are stunning! We are hot pool people. Absolutely stunning. We stayed on the way down to Wellington, loved it so much we stayed on the way back up to Auckland. There are a LOT of choices in Taupo and this would be our pick, everytime.

What a lovely place to stay. Views to the lake and a private hot tub. Clean, warm, home made biscuits and friendly owner. Our daughter did not want to leave. Very near to the hot water beach.

Great location right on the lake

We had a wonderful stay here and will definitely be back. Rooms have great space and set up. Location is fantastic!

Comfortable, clean and very well-appointed. Would have appreciated more TV channels.

lovely place, quiet though it was close to town. Manger had great information about where to go and what to do.
