Two day stop over

Room good. Access ok. Council worker started blowing down street leaves at 6:45 AM for half an hour right outside the first morning! Not happy!

Flying visit to the Isa

Travelled to Mt Isa for a one night business trip. Check in went smoothly. Room was nice. I had a spa room but didn't use it. Only quirk, the shower gel was half full and had not been replaced. Staff were friendly. Breakfast in the adjoining Isa Hotel Cafe was included and very good.

I arrived from a cattle station after 8 months of being outback I was very much looking forward to some comfort. The bed was comfortable. The spa was lovely. Cleanliness was okay on the surface. Cleaners need to spring clean, lots of bugs on the window cill, hair on bathroom door and dirty finger prints on doors. Fine dinning was awful, dreadful. I ordered the salmon which was small resembling a piece you get in Woolworths. I couldn’t taste the flavour of the fish due to the amount of salt all over the dish. The spinach was extremely oily and cheap dried garlic crystals were added. Lastly the au Gratin was disgusting because it wasn’t anything resembling an au Gratin, it was more like a Deb potato out of a packet with bacon bits from a packet in it which tasted off. I will never stay at Redearth again.

This is the nicest accommodation in Mt Isa. The bedding is very high quality, the rooms are quite and the air-conditioning is great. All rooms I have stayed in there are as per the photo's.

Hotel is very nice, for the location. Nice comfortable linen on the bed, however, bed was a bit lumpy, in place, but comfortable. Cleaners need to be sacked! The room at first looks great and inviting, with somewhat of a classy look and feel. But, i misplaced something and when on the hunt, only to find under the bed was covered in dust and rubbish, party poppers, beer caps, amongst other thing. A dust of the skirting boards would also be a good idea. Bring your own toilet paper, unless you like you arse ripped shreds. Roadside drop toilets would have better quality and probably more ply. All in all though, great place to stay and far better then all the other options in Mount Isa. I will be definitely booking again, next time i visit. Oh, and do NOT dine at The Isa Hotel, which is connected. The worst cooks, EVER! Go to The Buff, much better. Overall, I was happy with my choice of this hotel.

Nice place to stay in Mt Isa. The bed is very comfortable. The Bathrooms are large. Room Service is available. Location is good. Easy parking on the street.
