"We liked the swimming pool, pool table, ping pong and gym. Unfortunately our room ‘Paul’ was tiny for 4 people, it was in the attic space so incredibly hot, even with fans, and difficult to access. Only one toilet on top floor to share between 10 people. Did not sleep well at property. The breakfast was fine. Dogs are welcome, but hosts dog unruly and out of control, so my dog had to spend all it’s time in bedroom, when we wanted to use any of the facilities. The host was inflexible. If you do...

From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by serenity — centuries-old trees, breathtaking river views, and the warm hospitality of Taz, the charming owner. One evening, we enjoyed local wine beneath the château’s magnificent old trees while learning about the property’s rich history dating back to 1604. Our spacious room was tastefully modernized while still preserving the château’s historic character, and waking up to panoramic views of the Dordogne River was pure magic. Each morning began with a delicious traditional French breakfast featuring fresh cherries picked right from the owner’s garden — a small touch that made the experience feel even more special and authentic.
