"This cabin was a little piece of heaven. I was a bit leery from the outside of the building but the inside was gorgeous. Everything was clean and organized. It had an airy clean feel and not that damp cabin-ey smell. It was a solo trip for me so obviously lots of space to spread out. I could see being comfortable with a family at the cabin. The loft was my favorite part- one of those large bean bag chairs and a big comfortable couch that were perfect for naps! I used the table for a 1000 piece puzzle and it was more than enough room The bathroom was a good size and stocked with TP (nothing worse than realizing you were under prepared in that situation), it was nice not having to haul shampoo and body wash. The kitchen was stocked well. Denise, the host, stated they have a keurig on site and that I needed to bring my own kcups- done! I was also warned before hand to get stuff in town as the cabin was 30 minutes out. The drive was beautiful! Just don't forget NOT to turn off GPS- you won't get ANY service for miles. The lake was a bit of a jaunt but a great time to enjoy the site. You get a great view from the cabin.I was going to go kayaking but a family of geese decided to stay that day (don't forget a life jacket if you need one!). It was more fun watching the babies.Overall- it was the perfect place for a night shift nurse to reset. It was peaceful**don't forget your mosquito spray!"
On a 3200 acre lake with 400 ft of frontage. Great fishing kayaking boating fun
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful property! It is so whimsical, like staying in a human sized fairy garden. I especially enjoyed the hammock where I was able to relax and read a book with a strong breeze keeping me comfortable and keeping the bugs at bay. My husband LOVED the hot stone sauna, which provided an extra level of relaxation after a day of mountain biking. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming and they even left us some wonderful welcome gifts. The only thing I would mention is that the great room smelled a bit musty, so we didn't really use it. This is not a complaint as we didn't really need to use it and I definitely understand that being on the water and being more of a 3 seasons room makes it more susceptible to needing a good airing out after winter. Thank you for the warm welcome, recommendations on what roads to avoid when biking and clear instructions for anything that might cause some confusion. We would love to visit again sometime!"
"Our family really enjoyed staying. We like Moose Lake because it’s a little more quiet than some of the other lakes in the area and this cabin is in a great location. It was great to have a nice new dock to use for our boat, but the kids loved catching tadpoles and baby turtles off the dock. We caught a variety of fish near the dock, but the highlight was a musky on our second cast. The housing was clean and cozy and the kids loved the bunk bed. We cooked most of our meals at the cabin and we had everything we need - except maybe a large kitchen knife. We did go down the road once to Louie’s Landing for a dinner because it’s the perfect Moose Lake hang. Jamie (the owner) was super friends and we really appreciated his flexibility when it came to a last minute schedule change. He didn’t have to do that, but he was great."
"This simple well designed and newly constructed cabin is the perfect getaway spot for couples or solo travelers who enjoy a quiet, peaceful, and secluded stay in the heart of the Northwoods. It is well decorated both inside and out coinciding with the present vibe of the current season and holiday. The guest gift basket with a welcome card and treats to enjoy during and throughout your stay is very kind and was much appreciated! The floors are professionally seal coated throughout and has soft rugs along with mats in the kitchen and bathroom. The semi plush king size bed with what felt like linen sheets is very comfortable and spacious which delivered a great solid nights rest. The fire pit is a well lit area and good size overall with three Adirondack chairs and a small table. I've been coming up to this part of the state for the past seven years to photograph the amazing waterfalls and scenery throughout the area and was simply grateful to stumble across this place and will definitely be staying again most likely in the Fall. This time of year the mosquitoes and bugs are thick so make sure to bring adequate spray, long sleeves, hat and bug net to protect yourself although they do provide spray as well. The hosts, Chris & Laurie, are very attentive and promptly responsive to messages. Thank you both so much!! I was very pleased with our stay and was very impressed as you will be too!! Enjoy!! "
"Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Best Super 8 breakfast that was comparable to a Holiday inn express. Not just cereal and make your own waffle, very unexpected and appreciated. It would be super if all Super 8s had this breakfast. Also the best maintained Super 8 that I've experienced. The pool was super clean, very rare to see that."
