It is only 15-20 mins from downtown Fairbanks and we enjoyed the beautiful drive back to cabin everyday. "We loved the cabin, and the hosts were very easy to communicate with. We asked for a few extra towels, and they arrived in just a few short hours - we really appreciated this. There are a few things I would have liked to know before we arrived, but they would not have deterred us from staying - we just might have been better prepared. 1. There is really no closet or dresser to unpack in and we had to leave everything in our suitcases. If I had known that I would have probably packed a little differently. 2. We are campers and no stranger to rustic bathroom facilities, but the very narrow path through the snow to the outhouse was an ankle twister. If I had known that in advance, I might have taken the host up on his offer for an inside "camp toilet" for an extra fee.If you are prepared for those few things I would highly recommend this cabin. It feels very rural, but still within a short driving distance to town and several landmarks. We had a wonderful time visiting Chena Hot Springs, Fairbanks, and Murphys Dome. At Murphy's Dome we saw the most spectacular full clear sky Aurora Borealis display! "
