Lots of room with a kitchen was nice. Close to everything but still secluded and quiet with hiking paths.

Furniture needs to be updated
We were disappointed with this property. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. We had to put our pillows on the foot of the bed and sleep backwards because otherwise it felt like we were sleeping downhill.
The living room furniture was worn and you could feel the bed frame in the sleeper sofa through the cushions when you sat on it.
If the resort would take time to upgrade the furniture this would be a nice place to stay. Location was good. It was clean, and we felt safe.
Wonderful location to walk Wander Lake, the Auto Museum and Creamer's Field. The "suite" was a small apartment. It was really comfortable for a week's stay.
The rooms were actually suites that were quite comfortable. We especially liked the large closet that enabled us to unpack fully. The biggest downside was that the resort has no restaurant during the winter, so you either have walk a couple of miles in the cold or Uber for meals.
Loved the room! It was clean and spacious. It had an odor when you walked in and also in your room.
Overall, decent place to stay!

Not exactly a resort in early winter. More like a big apartment complex. Restaurant was closed and very few people on the property. Buildings are old could use some updating, but the apartment (not a room or even a suite) was clean and included a full kitchen and living room. Good for people who want option of making meals in the room with plenty of space to relax between adventures. The wildlife refuge connected to the property was great for outdoor walking, even in the snow.
Mariko’s excellent customer service and Juanita’s patience were very valuable to us! Charlie while providing us a safe shuttle service, was helpful in giving us general informations about Fairbanks! Thomas was also kind and helpful by us tips about preparing ourselves for wintertime in Fairbanks.

woods, trails!
we stay here because of the easy access to the beautiful woods and trails. having use of a living room is fantastic. the bedroom is very small and cramped. seriously, there is about 1 foot of space between the beds. The kitchen is nice and well supplied. there is also a huge walking closet!
The best location to see northern lights in Fairbanks, without the need to hire an additional tour to get outside the city.
You can walk to a nearby natural area, with minimal light pollution, to appreciate the Aurora - given there is one.
On sustainability..... terrible. If you do not care. Skip the paragraph.
The fridge - was so old, that we had to unplug it, because it was noisy. Lights were still very old, consuming lots of energy. And heating temperatures of common areas, completely out of range. I mean outside temperature was 0°C and the closed hallway was up to 27°C. It makes no sense at all from an energy efficiency point of view.... not even the interior temp of the room was that high.
Customer Service. It depends on who is on the reception desk at the time being. All the persons we met or talked to, were polite and kind. But, the last day, we had an unfortunate encounter with a guy who seemed to have no idea of what hospitality is about... no need to enter into further detail.
Staff were very friendly and also knowledgeable. Room was clean and also warm. Front desk was available 24/7 with any requests such as an early shuttle service.

Very large and spacious rooms. It was overall well maintained and kept clean. Two bedrooms, a large living room, a separate kitchen with limited utensils. It was a furnished apartment style. Worth the pay and stay. It was 5-7 minutes drive to downtown and we were glad we picked this one over the regular hotels. Costco, Walmart everything within reach.
They didn’t have an onsite breakfast and restaurant due to winter season. But, all restaurants, grocery stores and miscellaneous activities were within driving distance.
The front desk staff was very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful in making our short travel within Fairbanks a pleasant experience. They provided great recommendations on local restaurants, where to go to see the northern lights, and places of interest. Being first time visitors, we blindly followed their recommendations and it sure it meet our expectations.
May be we didn’t get the right room during our stay and the only concern we had was people walking way too often in the room above ours. Kept us wondering what possibly were they doing walking entire evening until late night. The hotel staff said they can’t swap the room because we booked through hotel.com.
The kitchen came with utensils, plates cups and glasses. The coffemaker and coffee were great. There is a full refrigerator, stove and microwave. Great for cooking your own meals
