"The proprietors were charming folks and resident Alaskans. They provided a wonderful breakfast, taking into account our dietary preferences. They also were interesting in that they housed firefighters who had been working to control wildfires threatening some of Alaska's beautiful natural areas."
"Property was centrally located in the downtown area of Fairbanks, restaurants were walkable. Hotel was clean. AC didn’t work as well as we would have wanted but who would have thought you would need ac in Alaska. Didn’t realize the homeless population was that bad, but they did a good job of keeping them out of the hotel. "
"We stayed here for one night and was happy that there was adequate food available in the hotel store since all the restaurants nearby were closed when we arrived."

"The staff is super-friendly. They let us hang our laundry out to dry behind their home! They also accommodated our last-minute change of plans and helped us to stay for a 2nd night on short notice. The inn is beautiful and friendly and homey, and we would love to stay here again!"
"While it wasn't convenient to anything, property and staff were so pleasant. It would be nice to have a meal choiceor even cup of tea, water-after breakfast. Wine n cheese hour on beautiful grounds would be beneficial and profitable!"
Comfortable House With Kitchen On The Chena River. Family Friendly.
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay. Our host did an outstanding job making us feel welcome, and the property was exactly as described in the listing. The location was perfect with a huge lawn right on the Chena River! We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, our kids enjoyed paddleboarding on the river, and our dog enjoyed exploring the spacious yard. The home itself has a unique, old time Alaska feel to it, and the beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed reading some of the articles hanging up about the history of the area. Our kids also enjoyed the puzzles and games, a nice break from the screens. We would definitely like to stay again next time we are in Fairbanks. Thank you!"
