It was windy one night and the window had a poor seal. The wind is making squeaky sound loud enough to be heard when you get out of the elevator on the 3rd floor. Asked the front desk if there is anything can be done. Dude was unapologetic and shrugged his shoulder like it's none of his business. Two things can be improved, better window seal and a better night shift staff.

Beyond my expectations, excellent place. Clean, attentive staff, very good breakfast, comfortable beds, at one block from the "rambla" and a few blocks from the downtown and the Ciudad Vieja.

Comfortable roomy suite near pedestrian areas
Spacious suite with table and chairs and a nice view of the river from wall to wall windows. However, the twin beds are very narrow so they feel restrictive.

Habitación típica de hotel. Me dieron un código para entrar al edificio. Casi nunca había nadie en la recepción. El desayuno estaba disponible por un cargo extra; no estaba incluido. La ducha era agradable, y las toallas eran enormes. La habitación era espaciosa. La calle estaba tranquila. El hotel estaba muy cerca de la estación de autobuses (350 m), ya un corto paseo de las atracciones cercanas de Ciudad Vieja. Un hotel muy agradable por el precio. Typical hotel room. They gave me a code to enter the building. There was almost never anyone at the reception. Breakfast was available for an extra charge; it was not included. The shower was nice, and the towels were huge. The room was spacious. The street was quiet. The hotel was very close to the bus station (350 m), and a short walk to the nearby attractions of Ciudad Vieja ("Old City") neighborhood. A very nice hotel for the price.

This is an excellent place to stay in the old part of Montevideo. The staff were very friendly and helpful, giving us an excellent dinner recommendation. The room was very comfortable.

The location was perfect and it felt safe. I liked the small kitchen although it would be helpful to have a few more basic things like scissors, oil, salt and pepper. I found the room cold so an extra blanket would've helped. The shower was kind of annoying and made the whole bathroom wet often. There was no cleaning while I was there for a whole week. Some of the staff were nice but others were kind of rude.

The hotel is very basic and modest, but it is ok for a short stay. It really need a renovation, since it looks old and tired on general. It is very clean and the rooms are spacious with nice view of the river. The room TV is very small and it is hard to see it from bed. It is very well located in the old part of the city but unfortunately the area is desolated at nights and weekends. It did not feel unsafe though. It is not very far from the center of the city, and it is easy reachable by uber or a 25-30 minute walk. The people who works there are very nice but they should be more knowledgeable of the information the client could need, like places open at late hours, where to rent a bike, where to do a covid test... The hotel is extremely quiet, maybe too much for me.

This is now my go-to hotel in Montevideo. Location means you walk to the Rambla one way or the old city the other, within minutes. Modern, spacious rooms, great service, and a breakfast you linger to enjoy. I will go back, for sure.

Very nice small hotel. Room was clean and the staff were extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone that’s tired of the same old big hotels. We would gladly come back to this hotel and recommend it to friends and family
