"All the staff were amazing. Friendly, happy, attentive and helpful. The included breakfast had excellent variety and freshness. We stayed 4 days and ate most of our meals in the Lodge's restaurant. All meals were delicious and their menu has more than enough variety. The gardened grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Our room looked out on the gardens and we could hear the sound of the running stream from our private patio. The room was clean and the daily housekeeping and turndown service was impeccable. The grounds had wonderful paths through the cloud forest which were worth walking daily to see and listen to the birds and white-faced capuchins."

"Family of 3, our son is 10, and we stayed for 4 nights. We lucked into this place as the PERFECT home base for our stay in Monteverde! Our son loved having the lawn space to play with other kids; we, the parents, loved being able to have a drink at the bar and enjoy the view, the birds, and keep an eye on kiddo. Breakfast is SO good - farm-fresh eggs, gallo pinto, cheese, fresh fruit, great coffee; we grew to be so spoiled. (Breakfast is ruined now.) The grounds are amazing, so terrific to have hike access right on site, AND we loved learning about the permaculture project here. Truly, this was our dream spot for our very active and bird-loving family! The tanagers nest in the courtyard, and you'll see (and hear!) birds constantly (e.g. tropical king birds, toucans diving across the vista, clay-colored thrushes, turkey and black vultures soaring above the valley!), along with agouti and coatmundi meandering across the patios and along the paths. The restaurant food outside of breakfast is a little limited; the pizza is great, but it does take time so if you can order ahead! We were out and about quite a bit so we explored other places. Also recommended: Stella's and Choco Cafe (especially the curry chicken!!!). Absolutely STAY HERE, it is beautiful and wonderful, especially if you have kids in tow!"

"Beautiful property, incredible view, kind and attentive staff—Koora was one of the best hotels I’ve visited anywhere in the world. It is quiet and stylish and near everything in Monteverde, including a hiking trail right next to reception. Room 104 is perfect for a family and just a stunning space. Highly recommend!"
