"Our stay at Koora Hotel was exceptional from start to finish. The hotel is cozy, modern, and beautifully nestled within the surrounding cloud forest, creating a peaceful and romantic atmosphere that immediately makes you feel relaxed and welcome. The views are stunning while the thoughtfully designed rooms remain elegant, comfortable, and inviting. The wildlife experience was unforgettable, with coatis roaming the property and easy access to the nearby sloth sanctuary, where we were able to see two-toed sloths up close, along with a jaguar and a tapir. The connection to nature is seamless and truly special. The staff were outstanding, warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Their attention to detail made us feel very well taken care of, from coordinating night hikes and private tours to offering excellent recommendations for exploring the area. The food was delicious and consistently exceeded our expectations. Koora Hotel is a beautiful blend of comfort, nature, and thoughtful service. It’s an ideal place to relax, reconnect, and fully enjoy the surroundings. We would absolutely return."

"Finca Sunset Monteverde was absolutely outstanding — easily one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The house is clean, new, and beautifully designed, with attention to detail everywhere. The views are truly out of this world and something you’ll never get tired of, whether it’s morning coffee or sunset. The host went above and beyond by leaving a welcome basket with beer, wine, eggs, local fruits and bread, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. Everything about this stay exceeded our expectations. We absolutely loved it and would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone visiting Monteverde."

"The staff were incredibly friendly. Right away they offered drinks while we checked in. We were able to use the pool and gym while we waited for our room to be ready. Very clean stay and open spaces. Breakfast had many options and changed depending on the day. Loved the variety of pools and jacuzzis for privacy or bigger groups. "

"At the end of the rainbow, on the edge of the cloud forest, sits Hotel Belmar. The property feels like a unique blend of a boutique eco-lodge and a European ski chalet, crafted almost entirely from local wood. While the approach road is steep and rocky, there is convenient parking very close to the entrance. With only 40 rooms, the experience feels intimate. Our room featured a private balcony with seating for two and a spectacular view of the valley extending all the way to the Nicoya Peninsula on the Pacific coast. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, featuring functional bathrooms with eco-friendly products. To ensure total immersion in the cloud forest, there are no TVs—a touch we truly appreciated. If you are on the property at sunset, you won't be disappointed; the colors are incredible. The dining was a distinct highlight. The onsite restaurant, Celajes, practices farm-to-table dining using produce from their own organic farm, Madre Tierra. Breakfast was included and offered plenty of hearty, healthy options. We also enjoyed two outstanding dinners there; the quality, quantity, and care put into each dish were evident. The waitstaff was perfectly attentive, and the bartender crafts excellent cocktails using fresh, onsite ingredients. Don't miss the onsite craft brewery—even as a non-IPA fan, I found theirs well-balanced and smooth, though the Stout was my personal favorite. The service and activities truly set Belmar apart.
