Hotel Bayit was a haven during a very difficult week. In a town full of indistinguishable chain hotels, this little hotel is run by a family, and they do an excellent job. The rooms are immaculately clean, the beds comfy, and the food at Matriarch (the cafe on property) is delicious. Can confidently recommend this hotel. In fact, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Modesto.

Let's build a boutique hotel right off the 99 in Salida - said nobody ever... But, this is a very nice oasis that is modern, clean and comfortable. The family that owns the property was very friendly and seems eager to please their guests. If you need to be in Modesto, go a bit further and try this unique hotel.

What a transformation!

What an amazing transformation to what it once was! Its like seriously a hidden oasis! Place had its own carport so u feel like its your own private place. Place was simple, clean, and had its own flair for simple design! Definitely would come back again!

This was a great place to stay for a short visit to the area. It was very clean, looked like it has just been completely renovated with the best materials, and it felt safe. I'll be back next time I'm in the area.

One of a kind - exceptional stay.

Excellent hosts clean well appointed room. Much better than the Quinta Inn or any other areal hotels/motels. Quick overnight stay was exceptional.

Great, new property. It was clean and thoughtfully designed (only one weird choice was the toilet in the shower). Super garden, and the breakfast place on the property had excellent coffee and sandwiches. We had room number 9, the shower was leaking a bit. I would say this place had European touches, the AC, the brands used in the bathroom, the architecture and the bread in the coffe shop all reminded me Europe. Great place I would stay here anytime in the future. It’s near the train tracks, bit noisy in the night (they provide earplugs).

The level of service I received was fantastic. We were in town for a family event, and we stayed several days. There’s really nothing like this place in the central Valley, especially not in Modesto. All my family came, we enjoyed the grounds, the rose garden, the lawn, bowling, and we sat by the fire every night and talked while we played ping-pong. I can’t say enough about this place in the staff, it’s family owned, and you can feel the love. We will definitely be staying here every time we come into town.

Peaceful, beautiful, get away

Seen the pictures online and knew we had to stay there. It was really beautiful and peaceful. The bed was comfortable, the music playing when we walked in, everything was so perfect. It was too cold to go swimming, (they do have a heated pool) but I still wasn't brave enough. I loved that they had a pool lift for those needing it. We live in AZ, but whenever we visit Cali, this will be where we'll be staying!!

Room was super modern and offered great amenities. Was very clean, quiet and great attention to detail with the “extras” in the room. Only issue was no contact checkin the code provided did not work on the room door. Contact phone number provided offered quick reply but unfortunately did not solve the issue entirely. Would have given the facility 5 stars if not for this issue.

Genius! The toilet in the shower. Life changing. This little compound is clean, well organized , covered car ports, everything inside the room is clean and fresh. Amenities are well thought out. Even a giant Yom Ford :Gucci sofa table book that was fun to browse. I hate that this review might let this secret out. But buck for buck this place beats everything in that city. Well done hotel Bayit. Also I'm a former Marriott GM for 25 years. I know something special when I see it.

This hotel is modern in many aspects. Electronic check-in, keyless entry, even the coffee maker inside the room is fancy. The room is clean and comfortable. I only had one minor problem. I did not get the message from the hotel until the day we are supposed to chekc in. It was sent to me in the morning, but I was already on the road to visit places since I was on vacation. Only when I arrived at the entrance, I realized there was a closed gate. Luckily I was able to search my email with my phone in front of the gate and got my code to enter the property. But other than that, everything is fine.

Good stay- but toilet is in the shower!

The location is odd- in the middle of warehouses. BUT it's like an oasis- completely gated and once in you feel like you are somewhere else. Very clean and modern. The odd thing is the toilet is in the shower- yep you read that right it's actually IN the shower. No separation, nothing. The toilet gets water all over it when you shower. You definetly wouldn't want to use the toilet if the other person in your party was showering-very weird. There is also no one in the lobby- all check in is remote. Restaurant is also not open all days, and it seems no way to know when it's open. I assume it's random due to when the hotel is busy or not? When I did call the "front desk" (remember somewhere remote) they were super nice, helpful, and gave a restaurant recommendation.

The room was spotless. The staff was amazing. The equipment in the exercise room was great. The cafe had the best speciality coffees and pastries. The staff was always available for any needs. I would definately stay here again when I am in the area.
