Top Moccasin Creek State Park Hotel Reviews
Lake Burton cottage with hot tub, lake views, and 3 bedrooms.
8/10 Good
"Great location. The view is not expansive but it's nice. It was quiet and peaceful, saw several deer down below the house in the mornings. Wish the outdoor area had been a little cleaner/more usable. It's the mountains and the woods - totally get it! Wasn't expecting immaculate. But you could tell a lot of the debris/spider webs/etc had been there for a while so definitely not freshened up for new guests which was a bit disappointing since we chose the home largely for its outdoor space. There were LOTS of spiders! My husband opened the sliding glass door when we arrived and got a huge spider web to the face. Even just a quick brush down with a broom before new guests arrive would be helpful. The top to the hot tub was broken which we were able to make work during our stay but would not be user friendly for anyone older/weaker. I reported this the first day (was not expecting them to fix it that fast, I just didnt want to be charged for it). A small thing of laundry detergent (literally costs around 3.00) would be a nice-to-have amenity since there is a washer/dryer on site and you of course dont realize there is no detergent until you go to do laundry at the end of the day. The road up is quite steep, but paved, just FYI as I know this is always a question I have. All in all a fine stay, we enjoyed ourselves!"
Lake Burton lakefront retreat with 4BR, hot tub, boat slip, and fire pit.

"What a fun, beautifully decorated home this is! We loved having multiple areas for our group of five to relax, play games and connect. The decor is special, whimsical and a real treat compared to most rental homes, The kitchen was well equipped (bring your own spices, etc). Very comfortable beds and couches. We were not able to use the bunk room, it was very musty, but did utilize the extra bathroom. That limited our sleeping options much more. Also, the proximity to the lake was a big surprise, you do not have a view of the lake at all from the house (perhaps in winter you would a bit). The house is across the street, up a hill and behind another home, so your only view is of the house in front of you. The boat house is great, albeit a couple of streets over from the house."

Charming 3 bedroom Lake Burton cottage; sleeps 9; on the water
10/10 Excellent
"The house was perfectly clean! We loved the location. It is on the Dicks Creek end and with the recent drought we didn’t have enough water to get our boat to the house but we did catch a few fish off dock. We brought our boat and if anyone is planning on bringing their boat- drop it off at the marina BEFORE you go to the house! The street is narrow and there is no place to turn around. We had to do a 187 point turn but finally got it! We rented a campsite at Moccasin creek state park just to use their facilities and were able to leave our boat there all night. It worked out well for us as it is just a couple of minutes down the road. The home is decorated well, is very cozy & clean home. The screened porch was relaxing. The neighbors were great and helped us get our boat turned around without going into anyone’s grass. Also- don’t forget to save photos of all check in info as there is zero cell service. The house WiFi worked great. We had few minor questions and the owner responded right away. We would definitely book again."

2 Bedroom Tiny Home near Lake Burton, Georgia in the Blue Ridge Mountains
10/10 Excellent
"A very quiet and clean cabin nestled in the forest. Near a fantastic restaurant (The Blue Canoe) and around the corner from a small gas station. Fantastic for a couple looking for a mountain getaway. Bring an extra fan if you have anyone sleeping in the loft during the summer."
Tiny House in the Mountains- waterfall, jacuzzi and stunning farm views
8/10 Good
"Lovely area. Nice place to escape to. The tiny house was as described. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. Host was responsive. No kitchen, but there was a small fridge/freezer and a microwave, so we were able to eat our own food for breakfast and lunch. The creek next to the house was healthy. Lots of pretty wild flowers and pollinators. Not a lot of birds, but some. Bugs weren’t too bad, so we sat outside quite a bit. The cafe down the hill (Lake Burton Cafe) was very friendly (the owner was our waitress) and had great smash burgers and flatbread pizzas. We found a great hike down the road a few miles: Hemlock Falls Trail. Relatively easy grade for about a mile up to a lovely waterfall. Our only complaint was the noise from the nearby highway, especially Friday night."
