"This was a perfect getaway for my wife, our adult children, and me. The cabin was just as described in the listing and in a great location; there was plenty to do nearby and at the cabin itself. We enjoyed hiking, a free concert at the fairgrounds, good restaurants, sitting and relaxing on the deck, the air hockey and pool tables, and the good selection of board games. Whether your entire group wants to do something together or if everyone wants time alone, there are good spaces. One thing - if you go, pay attention to the directions the owner sends you. Your navigation will get you close, but it might get confused right at the end."

"The cabin was great very clean. The Chef stove was great. If you enjoy the mountains and wildlife,hiking and the creeks and lake. Then this place is for you. The porch over looking the creek was so nice and the sound of the creek was so relaxing"

"We couldn't have asked for a better home base for our mountain getaway. Some of our group had stayed at this creekside cabin in Hiawassee, Georgia before, and after one visit of my own, I understand exactly why they wanted to come back. Tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains, but close to everything, it's the kind of place that's easy to fall for. We loved waking up to the sound of the creek flowing over the rocks and under the bridge, and the evenings were just as good, sitting outside and watching the sunset over the mountains. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the accommodations were great overall, and the property felt secure, which made it easy to relax. I'm already looking forward to making this a repeat trip myself, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic mountain getaway."

"The cabin was easy to get to.It was clean, had well stocked kitchen.Nice hot tub. Screened back porch was nice to sit out & eat meals there. Great for two couples but will sleep 6 . Beds were comfortable.Nice wooded lot.Would rent again.Eric"

"The property was clean and well supplied. Two porches that we enjoyed for coffee in the mornings and relaxing in the quiet evenings. Very convenient location to visit Lake Chatuge and Anderson Music Park and Gardens and the North Georgia Mountains. Close to many attractions and several hiking trails, waterfalls and lakes. The host was very responsive and easily reached would definitely stay there again."
Creekside Duck Cabin - Creek Front - Mountain View

"We had a wonderful stay at the Duck cabin in Hiawassee! The home was comfortable, the setting was beautiful, and we truly enjoyed our time there. We would definitely consider staying again.There are just a few maintenance items that could use some attention to make the experience even better for future guests. The living room ceiling fan was not working, and the overhead light in the first-floor bedroom was missing the pull string needed to turn it on. The ceiling fans on the back porch also were not working. The first-floor bathroom door drags and is difficult to open and close, and housekeeping had not left toilet paper in that bathroom when we arrived. Upstairs, the bathroom faucet aerator/filter may need to be cleaned, as the water sprays in different directions and can easily get your clothes wet.These were all relatively minor things and certainly didn’t keep us from enjoying our stay. With a little maintenance, this cabin would be even better. We had a lovely visit to Hiawassee and appreciated having such a nice place to call home during our trip!"

"We absolutely loved our stay! This was a last minute trip before our kids start school. Our son loves to fish and he caught a good many in the pond. The little paddle boat was an added bonus of fun. The sound of the creek and panning for gold was fun for my daughter and I. I always travel with kitchen supplies, but that was not needed here. Plenty of spices, coffee filters, and pots and pans. There was also a welcome basket with smores supplies on arrival which was such a nice surprise. Our kids have already asked to go back. Highly recommend!"
