Cosy studio on an organic farm, pet friendly! Just minutes from Middleburg.
Come and relax at this idyllic farm location. Pam and Rob have created a warm and inviting space, perfect for both short getaways and extended stays.
The apartment has everything you could need for a comfortable stay in the countryside.
High quality linens, and a beautiful Serta mattress on the main bed, this studio apartment is surrounded by rural charm, whilst only being 5 minutes drive from downtown Middleburg and less than 10 minutes door to door to the world famous Salamander Resort and Spa.
Inside the studio, you will find a queen bed and queen sized pull out sofa bed. A kitchenette complete with under-counter fridge/freezer, microwave, hotplate and the all important coffee machine as well as dishware, silverware and light cooking utensils.
The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a built-in shower seat. There are modest toiletries for guests to use, as well as a hairdryer.
As beautiful as this studio is, the reason for visiting this area is to be outside! The farm is located within Loudoun County, a destination for wine, beer and food enthusiasts. Minutes from award winning wineries (Pam's all-time favourite bubbly, Greenhill Winery's Blanc de Blanc, can be found just a few minutes drive from the farm).
Staying closer to this home away from home is also an option, with over 13 acres of property, including an awe-inspiring 2 acre market garden where Pam and her team grow beautiful, organic, seasonal vegetables. You can find more information about Gathering Springs Farm on social media as well as their website.
There are also many animals moving around the farm, both domestic and wild! The farm has chickens and sheep year-round, as well as pigs and turkeys seasonally. The farm offers a map with self-guided tour options to show yourself around and see what's growing in Northern Virginia at the time of your stay.
Enjoy the views from the window in the studio (which is located up 1 flight of stairs), you may see deer, turkeys and the occasional fox, hopefully no where near Pam's chickens...
Let your hosts Pam and Rob make your trip even more special, the farm has fresh eggs for sale as well as in-season vegetables.

We really enjoyed our stay. The studio has everything you might need and it’s close enough to Middleburg, Leesburg, Shenandoah, and surrounding areas to enjoy a fun-filled weekend.
We had a lovely weekend out of the city on the farm. It wasn’t far from Middleburg, but it was very quiet and pleasant. The place is a good size for a couple and the studio was well laid out. We loved seeing the sheep!
Pam was an amazing host who made us feel at home right from the get-go. This cozy studio above the garage (separate building) on a working farm was quiet and comfortable, made all the moreso by the wonderful people who run it. We enjoyed being there on a farm tour weekend, with the added benefit of a farm stand on site! We look forward to enjoying the honey and produce that we brought back with us… and even moreso, to our next stay. Thanks again!!
Enjoyed my stay in middleburg this weekend. I’m in the area every week & it’s on a clearly marked road that’s easy to find. Directions & check in were easy to follow.
Only one observation/ comment…
It was terribly hot in the apartment when I arrived. Not sure if owner is on-site but one suggestion is to put AC on earlier in day, it’s a hit VA summer!
The apartment above the garage was done very nicely. There was a typo on the listing as I booked under the impression there was a hot tub, which sadly there was not. With this apartment being above the garage be weary you can hear the noises from down below (such as garage door and gym equipment). My partner was awoken by the gym equipment being used below around 8am which was unfortunate. We contacted Pamela and she was apologetic. Overall, the studio was lovely and cozy in a great location in regards to Middleburg. Pamela was a responsive host and tried her best to amend the situations that arose.
We had an excellent time and our dog loved the farm. The hosts are fantastic people and were very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. We location is nice just a few minutes drive from downtown Middleburg and in a beautiful area. We will definitely return.
The studio was good for the two of us and our dogs. It is very clean and comfortable s on a farm which we found appealing. Very convenient to restaurants (Middleburg) though a distance from dog-friendly wineries. I would definitely recommend it for a short stay.
Love staying here, quiet and everything I need for an overnight stay with my little dogs. Their generator did great for cooling the apartment when there was a power outage in the area due to thunderstorms.
Very cozy upstairs studio. Nice amount of privacy because it is above the garage. Perfect for a couple. Not much of a choice if you want to cook (they do accurately represent that there is a kitchenette, not a kitchen).
