"Oh my word what a gem we have found, this hotel blew our socks off,even thing about it was just perfect, from the opulence of the colours and materials of the furnishings to the reminders of what the hotel was as used as through the years. The cleanliness of everything was outstanding, we cannot wait to return everyone was so friendly and helpful."

"The rooms at the Howfield were exactly as described in the photos. very comfortable bed, good hot shower with good flow and very clean. the housekeeping staff were polite, cheerful and helpful. communication and check in was completed efficiently via text messages with quick responses ( we asked for an early check in and the room was ready for us ) I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again "

"Stayed here during a busy concert weekend. The owner and staff working were welcoming and friendly. There is a bar on site, which is handy as there is not really much else in the immediate area except a small convenience store. Room was clean and comfortable. It's a bit of a distance from the city center but the train station is a 5 minute walk. Given it's further away I feel it provides a more inviting and local experience."
