"Loved this cozy & clean cabin! It was a perfect home base for sightseeing in the UP & for day hikes to Porcupine Mtns, Sturgeon River Gorge, Keweenaw Peninsula, Sugarloaf Mtn/North Country Trail & everywhere in between. Fortunate to see beautiful fall colors everywhere! The cabin had everything we needed & as listed/pictures & on the lake. We didn’t use the boat or canoe but they were provided as listed & the dock was very nice & picturesque as was the trail down to it. Beautiful wooded yard with deck & separate fire pit below with at least 6 chairs. Family friendly, lots of games supplied & good internet. Smart TV has only 10 or so channels but has some apps like Netflix & a DVD player. But who is there for the TV??!! We had great communication with the owners before, during & at checkout. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you Mike & Kathy for hosting us!"

"This place was just what we needed for relaxation. We were able to explore the UP and come back and relax on the lake fireside and in the sauna. "

"Found these cottages by chance & we’re so grateful. It seemed that EVERY other place was booked; required multiple night stays, or would not allow pets. Our request was granted promptly thru VRBO, as usual. Admittedly, it was strange not having a hotel clerk to admit us, but we were used to it w VRBO. We did see two different folk, leave after being baffled (?) by QR code contact/ admittance. The little Cabin was immaculate. Lake was too windy to enjoy & we checked into late to fire up the sauna- NEXT TIME. The bathroom is tiny & the toilet was undoubtedly purchased for kindergarteners. It’s a LONG drop to a small target! No overhead sink light & very poor water pressure in the bathroom altho excellent pressure in the kitchen sink. - shoulda showered there!Kitchen was well appropriated. Coffee pot worked great. We were toasty with the room conditioner. Beds were comfy. Good linens. Thank you, David. Thank you Dax. I know this is the future of motels. I hope you make it happen in da U. P. !"

"When traveling with a dog it's often hard to find a place that approves their admittance, but Bear Paw Inn graciously did and without imposing a ridiculously high fee. The young lady at the desk when we arrived was pleasant, friendly, and very patient with this road-weary traveler who was somewhat confused over whether we'd already been charged (we weren't). We ended up with a VERY clean, exceptionally comfortable room (2 queen beds) that was rustic yet cozy. I would recommend and certainly would return if ever in that area again!"
