"DO NOT LET THE BELLMAN ARRANGE TRAVEL! He cost us $200 to get from Miami Beach to the Port of Miami. Maybe 5 miles from the hotel. The hotel is old, not updated. the room (penthouse) we stayed in was small but seemed clean. I will say that it did have ice cold A/C, which is a definite plus in that area. There was a breakfast with eggs and bacon that's doled out in a serving line. There's a resort fee even though this was by no means a resort but simple a hotel within a couple of blocks from the beach, which we did walk to and that was nice. Our biggest problems were the old hotel smell, the scary tiny elevator with the out of date license on it, and the bellman that cost us as much money as our stay for one ride maybe five miles to the cruise ship. I hope he enjoyed spending his cut of our ride because that was down right theft. I learned to NEVER accept a ride without getting an agreed rate up front."

"Loved this hotel. Great location for South Beach. It is well maintained, very clean with helpful, friendly staff. 2 pools, free bike hire and a discount on food & drink for residents. It is central for South beach, but at the beginning so noise is not as much of an issue as some other properties."

"The theme of the hotel is really cool. However Hotel is very outdated needs upgrades badly. The shower water pressure isn’t good and the shower wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been unfortunately. One of the ladies at the front desk gave my friend and I a complementary breakfast voucher and the breakfast was pleasant I really appreciate that. "

The staff was genuinely warm and attentive from front desk all the way to housekeeping, security, room service, valet, and the amazing bartender at the tiki bar. When I lost my phone, they immediately let me use theirs and even helped me track it down. When we wanted a bigger room, they made it happen without hesitation. They treated both me and my girlfriend with such kindness and care the entire stay. We truly felt spoiled and looked after. The Plymouth isn’t just a hotel — it’s a place with a heart. "Rooms are very nice, we got upgraded to a one bedroom suite. Everything looks great but I did not find the furniture comfortable. The couch is very low and very deep, difficult to use with anyone with back issues. The chair is the same, very artsy looking but not comfortable at all. The Spa that I had heard a lot about is very basic. The men’s steam room can handle 2 people only! The massage was better than average but certainly not worth $400. The restaurants are great, good and helpful staff, great public places, but this is not a serene hotel. Very crowded, nothing like any of the videos depict. Expensive but so are all the hotels in South Beach. This is a large property, maybe next time will book a small boutique hotel."
