Beautiful duplex in hyper center - Beautiful duplex right in the city center
Very nice apartment on two levels in the center of the pedestrian city of Metz. Everything is accessible in a few moments on foot: cathedral (3 minutes), university (5 minutes), Pompidou (15 minutes), historic center (1 minute) and the lake (2 minutes).
Housing
Access is on the third floor of a beautiful Haussmannian building. There is no elevator.
The apartment is a 75 m2 duplex which can accommodate up to 5 people.
The first level is composed of:
- a large fully equipped kitchen (service cellar, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, ...). The table can accommodate 6/8 people for carefree dining.
- a living room with corner sofa and a bench that can meet to make the third bed. A large TV with a box giving access to all the channels.
- a bathroom with everything necessary for doing the laundry (washing machine and dryer)
The second level is composed of:
- a large bedroom: a king size bed is available just under the roofs between the beams typical of buildings in the region.
- a second bedroom with a single bed and a desk
- a bathroom: bath and sink with an exterior Velux for light and perfect ventilation

Terrible Host Experience: Forced Eviction
I recently had the displeasure of encountering a host who completely ruined my vacation experience. It is with great disappointment that I write this review to warn other potential guests about the terrible behavior of the hosts of this property. From the moment I booked the property to the day of my forced eviction, everything went downhill.
However, the worst part of my experience was when the host unexpectedly entered the property without any prior notice or consent. I was shocked to find them rummaging through my belongings and demanding that I vacate the premises immediately. The host's behavior was aggressive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.
When I asked for an explanation as to why I was being evicted, the host provided vague and contradictory reasons that made no sense. I had some guests having a drink and they just showed up with an excuse that we were too many on the flat even though I provided evidence that my guests were locals and lived in the same city
Furthermore, the host showed a complete lack of respect for my privacy and personal space. It is absolutely unacceptable for a host to barge into a property without any warning or valid reason. This incident left me feeling violated and extremely uncomfortable.
Throughout the entire ordeal, the host displayed a dismissive and unapologetic attitude. They failed to take responsibility for their actions and did not offer any sort of compensation.

Lovely space
The apartment was fabulous. But probably a better fit for younger people. Excellent location, but noisy for us older folks (67 and 76). The 4 floor walk up, and steep interior stairs, were difficult for our knees! Other than that we loved the place and Alain and Maddy went over and beyond their obligation getting us there when we were lost! We thank them profusely.

Im Herzen von Metz
Wir haben alles sehr ordentlich vorgefunden.
Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet. Es war alles da, was man benötigt hat.
Man kann alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichen.
Die Gastgeberin ist eine sehr sympathische junge Dame, die uns alle Fragen beantworten konnte.
Das einzige Handikap waren die vielen Treppen bis zur Wohnung , die in der dritten Etage liegt.
Alles in allem, man kann die Wohnung weiterempfehlen.

Perfekte Lage wenn gut zu Fuß. Abends sehr laut.
Eine wunderschöne Wohnung in der Ausgehmeile von Metz.
Zu Fuß ist alles perfekt zu erreichen.
Metz zu erkunden ist fußläufig am Besten.
Das Fahrrad bietet sich ebenfalls an.
Die Ausstattung ist prima.!!
Die Toilette befindet sich im unteren Bereich.
Das kleine schöne Bad oberhalb der Bodentreppe.
Die Wohnung ist weitläufig auf der vierten Etage Altbau.
Parkmöglichkeiten bezahlt und unbezahlt ca. 7 Minuten zu Fuß von der Wohnung.
Kleine Anmerkung: selbst zum Entladen kann das Haus nicht angefahren werden.
Wohnung für Menschen, welche nicht so gut zu Fuß sind nicht!! geeignet.
Ansonsten sehr sehr schön.
Aufgrund der Lage an der direkten Ausgehmeile von Metz, ist es definitiv an den Wochenenden sehr laut.
Dafür mitten im Leben...

Sehr schöne Wohnung, super gelegen.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt Küche war perfekt eingerichtet, ansprechendes Interieur, das einzige was ein Problem ist, sind die Kneipen und Restaurants auf der Straße, wenn es sehr heiß ist, ist es nicht möglich bei offenem Fenster zu schlafen, vor allem am Wochenende, da wird es dann sehr laut. Ich empfehle Ohrstöpsel, das hat bei mir gut geklappt. Ansonsten war es sehr, sehr angenehm und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Auch der Blick über die Dächer von Metz war sehr schön.
