Beach holiday home in the sand dunes.

A wonderfully located seaside holiday home with private garden and courtyard terrace overlooking the sand dunes at Merlimont beach.
The house is fully independent and has driveway parking. The accommodation is on two floors. The ground floor has a large open plan lounge / dining room which opens directly on to the garden and courtyard. There is a new fully fitted kitchen, shower room and separate WC. The first floor has three bedrooms, one double one twin and one bunk bedroom. There is a bathroom with a bath / shower and another separate WC.
The courtyard borders the sand dunes and has the most amazing views to enjoy whilst eating or relaxing outside. There is also a large lawn garden perfect for games and soaking up the sea air. There is a garage available for storage and private on site parking is available for two cars. The house is at the end of a quiet cul de sac and sits right next to the sand dunes. The vast sandy beach and the town centre are just a short walk away.

Superb location 10 mins from the beach.

Our second year here. Superb location right on the sand dunes only 10 mins walk to Merlimont Plage beach. Perfect holiday with our Dog. From Merlimont (which is very quiet and not a lot going on) it is a 90 min walk on the sand to either Le Touquet or Berck sur Mer. Also the property manager, Michael was very attentive. He responded straight away when we had difficulty finding the UK TV channels and came out and reset the satellite for the TV.

Right next to the dunes

The location of the house was quite lovely: at the end of a quiet road, right next to the dunes and the gorgeous beach within very easy reach (as well as restaurants, bakery etc). The house itself could do with a bit of TLC. Nothing insurmountable, but we felt the price-quality ratio was a bit off. The agent was always quick te respond and helpful.

Das Haus und das Grundstück machten von außen einen guten Eindruck. Auch die Lage direkt hinter den Dünen ist optimal. Jedoch ließ die Sauberkeit im Haus und der Pflegezustand doch sehr zu wünschen übrig. So war die Küche insgesamt unsauber und insbesondere der Backofen und die Spülmaschine völlig versaut. Ebenso waren alle Armaturen von Kalk und Wasserrändern und Resten von Zahnpasta verschmiert. Staub war im ganzen Haus auf allen Möbeln und Regalen zu finden. Alle Fenster waren so unsauber und hatten Flecken und Sandanhaftungen, die von mehreren Monaten stammten. Der Innenhof der Terrasse war wohl seit Monaten nicht mehr betreten worden, denn hier lagen Blätter und Sandreste von mehreren Monaten. Insgesamt ein Haus in sehr schlechtem Pflegezustand.

Herbsturlaub

Bei wunderschönen Wetter haben wir eine Woche in dem Haus mit der traumhaft schönen Lage verbracht. Nach Rückkehr von unseren Ausflügen war es einfach toll im Innenhof mit Blick auf die Dünen zu sitzen.

Hallo Leute, Wir wurden sehr sehr herzlich von Michael in Empfang genommen. Er hat uns alles gezeigt und erklärt. Das Haus ganz nett. Der Hof zu den Dünen einfach Wahnsinn. Wir haben jeden Morgen draußen gefrühstückt. Es war sehr sehr ruhig, der Nachbar hatte immer ein Auge auf uns. Nun zum Haus, Gardinen wären schön gewesen, am dritten Tag war das Wasser kalt, es kam kein warmes Wasser aus der Leitung. Das Wasser im Meer war wärmer. Geschlafen haben wir sehr gut. Die Dusche war etwas ekelig, müsste mal wieder erneuert werden. Der Backofen und das Induktionsfeld waren nagelneu. Die Spülmaschine war auch nicht sehr einladend. Neue Sitzkissen für draußen wären auch mal wieder dran. Statt der abgebildeten Sessel im Wohnzimmer gibt es zwei zusätzliche Lümmelcouchen herrlich... Merlimont ist in der Nebensaison etwas unbelebt. Berck und Stella Plage sind da ganz das Gegenteil.Le Touquet ist ganz nett, am besten hat uns Le Crotoy gefallen bei D`Opal Baie de Somme( super Radwegenetz).Ein Ausflug nach Montreuil sur Mer sehr lohnenswert. Wenn das Wetter stimmt, sowie bei uns Sonne fast 30C jeden Tag kann man es hier gut aushalten. Bei schlechtem oder durchwachsenen Wetter lieber nicht. Alles in allem ein gelungener Urlaub, bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten. Nochmal würden wir aber nach Le Crotoy fahren.

zum 2. und nicht zum letzten Mal

wir waren in diesem Haus schon zum 2. Mal. Die Lage ist einfach ein Traum. Unmittelbar am Wanderweg durch die Dünen und zum Meer. Das Haus bietet alles was man benötigt. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter ist super und er ist immer erreichbar. Leider gibt das Sat-TV keine deutschen Sender her, aber wenn man das weiß kann man ja vorsorgen. (Steht hier auch so in der Hausbeschreibung) Der Garten ist groß genug für unsere 2 kleinen Hunde und wir alle haben eine ruhige Silvesterzeit hier verbracht. Bis zum nächsten mal!

Very comfortable dog-friendly accommodation in a fabulously convenient location for the beach.

We came for a holiday in early Sept '22 with our dog. The property was perfect for us. Very well equipped kitchen, TV in spacious lounge/dining area with English channels, and really good Wi-fi. Large sunny garden with driveway for off street parking, and a private rear patio. Easy access to the beach being directly adjacent to the way-marked path through the sand dunes. Highly recommended.

Beach house perfection

A great stay in the perfectly quiet beach town of Merlimont plage. A short walk to the bakery. A short walk to the beach. The beautiful dunes as your neighbour. A well appointed beach house which felt homely instantly. Thank you for letting us call this little gem home for a while.

2 traumhafte Wochen bei absolutem Kaiserwetter sind viel zu schnell vergangen! Das Häuschen ist schlicht und zweckmäßig eingerichtet, die Lage dafür Luxus mit 5*****. Für Menschen – ob mit oder ohne Hund – und Freude an Natur und Bewegung einfach ideal. In der Vorsaison ist im Ort und der Umgebung alles sehr unaufgeregt und entspannt. Genau das, was wir gesucht haben. Die gesamte Abwicklung und Kommunikation verliefen reibungslos. Michael war für uns jederzeit erreichbar und sehr aufgeschlossen. Vielen Dank dafür! Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt absolut genossen und kommen gerne wieder. A bientot…

Ruhige Lage,kurzer Weg zum Strand

Das Haus macht von außen einen gepflegten Eindruck, mit einem netten Garten, der komplett eingezäunt ist. Die Küchenaustattung ist sehr gut. Manche Sachen sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen oder kaputt,z.B. der Gartentisch oder die Dunstabzugshaube. Deshalb gibt es einen Stern Abzug.

eine herrlich erholsame Zeit

die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter im Vorfeld und auch vor Ort lief sehr gut. Das Haus ist sehr schön und in hervorragender Lage wenn man es, wie wir, ruhig mag. Wir konnten das Auto die ganze Zeit stehen lassen und brauchten es nur 1x zu einkaufen. Direkt vor dem Haus beginnen die Wanderwege durch die Dünen und der Dünenweg zum Strand. Für uns und unsere 2 kleinen Hunde war hier alles optimal. Besonders unsere Smilla hat die Zeit sehr genossen, da hier Silvester keine Knallerei stattfindet. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Perfekter Entspannungsurlaub mit Hund

Wir haben als Familie mit Hund eine wunderschöne entspannte Herbstwoche in diesem Ferienhaus erleben dürfen. Die Lage ist perfekt, nahe am Strand, der fast menschenleer war und ideal war für lange Spaziergänge mit Hund. Aufgrund der Nebensaison war im Ort vieles geschlossen, aber in den nahegelegenen Nachbarorten bekommt man alles, was man braucht. Das Haus selbst hat nichts vermissen lassen, bis auf vielleicht eine etwas besser funktionierende Kaffeemaschine, der Kaffee brauchte eine gefühlte Ewigkeit :D Der Vermieter war sehr hilfsbereit und die Kommunikation sehr nett und unkompliziert. Gerne kommen wir wieder!

Gemütliches Haus in einmaliger Lage

Das Ferienhaus entspricht der Beschreibung und bietet alles was man braucht. Das Highlight ist auf jeden Fall die Lage. Direkt vom Haus kann man barfuß in die Dünen starten. Merlimont war in der Nebensaison sehr ruhig, was wir genossen haben.
