ShelleyStayz City-Side Studio – Views near MCG & Crown

Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located home base. Smack bang in the centre of the city Flinders St is compact but has everything you need for a short stay or even longer. The rooftop gives you the best view of the river. The building is old and a little shabby however once inside our apartments that becomes insignicant. We have endeavoured to maximise the small space for comfort and convenience. The internal atrium is unique in Melbourne and the antique coach lanterns on each floor that were originally gas have been refurbished and upgraded to LED lights. A trip up to the roof will find you a view of the Yarra River and Casino, this has been on occasion the best place to see fireworks or the famous White Night. The famous Gas light show over the river in front of the Casino can be seen from dusk onwards. You have sole use of the apartment, shared use of the laundries and common areas such as the balcony and the roof. Laundries are located on 2nd, 4th, 5th 6th and 8th floor near the stairwell at the rear of the building. Cost is $3 (dollar coins) for wash and $1 for dryer. The Rubbish room is located on the ground floor at the rear, entry from the foyer. You can separate your rubbish into waste and recycle. **Important: when accessing the rubbish room please ensure you have the Fob with you, if you let the door close you will be locked out.** I am always contactable but not generally available in person. If you lock yourself out of the apartment contact me first. If I am unavailable or unable to assist remotely you may have to contact my preferred locksmith. Ace Locksmith St Kilda 29 Carlisle St St Kilda. This will be at your expense. Loss of key fob is $300

This was absolutely terrible. No windows and kept finding bugs around the entire apartment. The owner tried to make excuses but eventually we moved out a lot earlier than planned and pretty much begged for a refund. We received a partial refund but paid for more days than we actually stayed there.

The photos are clearly fake or heavily photoshoped. All furnitures are beat up and all walls are scratched. The windows are barred shut and the floor was dusty. The building reeks so heavy of cockroach repellent I had to wash all my belongings after I got out. The smell is so strong my nose and eyes hurt for days after I left. Despite the smell, the place is still full of cockroaches. All its residents should get a health check for staying here. It's such a piece of disgrace. I was so stunned by the terrible state of this place that I gave up the money (over 1500AUD if you ask) and booked another hotel. The management is just as terrible. They got in touch with you too late yet demanding documents plus refusing to be there in person to open the door. The agency won't pick up the call and they lie. Its surroundings weren't anywhere near clean either. You find trash piled up every corner and graffiti everywhere. Every other building on the same street looks clean and tidy yet this one tower looks like it steps right out of slums. I'm a constant overseas traveller and have stayed in a number of buildings a few hundred years old across the whole world, yet the poor state of this building is just, unnatural. All in all, it is only fair that this disgrace be removed from the website. I don't believe anyone deserves a heavy chance of cancer to witness its terrible state themselves.
