Highland Chalet is a beautiful custom log home built in 2012.

Situated on a hill, there are great mountain views to enjoy all year long.

Relax with friends and family on the large front deck surrounded by panoramic mountain views, or retreat to the back portion of the deck to enjoy the filtered afternoon light and an up close look at the natural beauty of the rocky terrain. Enjoy relaxing in the seven-person hot tub with all the bells and whistles in complete privacy.

Beautiful woodwork, tasteful furnishings & decor throughout, exposed ceiling beams in the great room, plenty of windows, ceiling fans, and a pool table are just a few features of this home.

The house has Comcast cable & Comcast WIFI. Two TVs with cable and three with Blue Ray DVDs for using your own devices.

Bring your family to the Highland Chalet and indulge yourselves in mountain luxury.

Entry level: The basement has a family/entertainment room with an 8 foot long, slate top pool table, wet bar with mini-fridge, stone-clad electric fireplace, comfortable furniture, and a 60' plasma TV with digital HD cable & with a PS3 with games!

Off this room is a big master suite with a king bed and a full bathroom.

Upstairs (middle level): The great room, with loads of windows, is at the front of the house. There is a door from the living room area to the side deck, taking you to the back where the big hot tub is.

Living, dining, and eat-in kitchen are all together in this large, open, and light room. The living room has a 46' LED TV. A large deck is off the great room, at the front of the house. Relax, dine and enjoy the views of the mountains year-round, and the ski slopes once the leaves have fallen from the trees.

Gather to prepare and eat dinner and watch a movie with family and friends. There is a pot-filler faucet at the stove to make it easy to start that pot of pasta.

Down the hall is a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo, and 2 bedrooms.

The master bedroom has a king bed with a door to the deck. The big hot tub is on the back section of the deck. The master bedroom has a 39' TV with a bluray player, and it's own bathroom with a tub/shower combo.

The other bedroom has 2 sets of twin bunk beds.

Upstairs is a loft with a bathroom with a tub/shower combo and the laundry facilities, and 2 more bedrooms.

One bedroom has a queen bed with a 32' TV with Blue Ray DVD, and the other bedroom has a queen bed.

This home is in a private residential neighborhood and is part of the Massanutten Property Owners
Association (MPOA), governed by its rules and regulations. There are rental homes in all MPOA
neighborhoods, but people also live here. Your nearby neighbors may be full-time residents, including
families with children, retirees, second-home owners and other guests enjoying their retreat.
NOISE
• Quiet hours: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM.
• Keep noise indoors during these hours.
• No excessive noise at any time, as judged by MPOA or its assigned agents.
PARKING
• Keep all tires off the road.
• Don't block fire hydrants or park in front of another property without written approval from your
host.
• Park only in designated areas or overflow lot (4007 Peak Dr., Massanutten, VA 22840)
• No buses, campers, or RVs to be parked at homes or on roads. Overflow lot is available with
written approval from your host.
OUTDOOR FIRES
• High wildfire risk area!
• No open fires.
• No unattended fires.
• No firepit use during quiet hours (10:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
• Firepits and grills may be restricted during local emergency conditions, check

Highland Chalet was the perfect weekend getaway spot for me and my friends to celebrate our high school reunion. The host Kevin was in constant communication with us and gave easy to follow check-in and checkout instructions. The property itself is great for a large group of friends. We had 8 total guests and enough beds for everyone. We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen, and hanging out in the basement playing pool. The hot tub was a great feature and we enjoyed relaxing in it after several strenuous hikes. Speaking of which, there are several close by, in addition to tons of other activities, like mini golf, at the the resort which we took part in.We definitely enjoyed Highland Chalet and would stay again!

Awesome weekend!

My friends and I had the best time staying here this past weekend. We loved the pool table, hot tub, and beautiful views! The house was clean and very comfortable. Perfect escape!

Gorgeous mountain cabin!

We absolutely loved our long weekend in Massanutten. The property was beautiful and overlooked the mountains, and the communications with the property owner was fantastic! The hot tub really was a highlight. It’s also very close to the ski resort, really only a 5 minute drive. We highly recommend staying here, especially if you have a larger group.

We stayed for a long weekend and it was just what we all needed. Our oldest is graduating high school and it was perfect to spend that time with him as a whole family. The home had everything we needed. We made meals and wanted for nothing. The area has more than enough to do as well. Definitely recommend to any family needed to unplug

This was a great house to stay in. Great location, clean, good set up inside the house. Nice view from the deck and enough room for large families. Access to community pool was nice. The owner was very responsive.

Great cabin for family getaway, would book again!

The cabin is in a really convenient location to snowtubing and other activities! The amenities were a great fit our family from the hot tub to the high chair. Only improvement could be to replace the couch or to connect the sections as they move easily. Would book again!

Grown Up Weekend

Perfect getaway cabin for a long weekend away from home. The house was spacious, bedrooms were nice sizes and we very much enjoyed the large kitchen table, since we spent several hours congregating there and playing games. Perfect views, too!! All in all, a great place to go for some R&R 😃

Great Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay! Met family there to attend the JMU football game. Gorgeous views from the deck. One thing, the driveway is very steep and hard to back down especially at night. Lights are definitely needed.

Great Getaway Cabin

We went with the intent to go for a weekend ski trip with friends! The weather was not in our favor so we enjoyed our time at the cabin together playing games and getting in the hot tub. They had all of the things needed for us to cook! The perfect game room area. The pool sticks need to be replaced but we made due! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Well furnished, clean and comfortable

We had everything we needed for an enjoyable family reunion. The only problem for my family is that there are 3 levels and one of my sisters found that difficult (we are an older group) but that is something we knew. This is a great place for a family. We had 4 vehicles and that was a little tricky but we made it work.

Spacious, overall clean, great location

We booked the property for 2 nights, but ended up staying only one due to personal reason. The property is spacious, has a great view specially during fall color change. Location is great! Couple of things would have made it even better - cleaner carpet (had stains in few areas), expected enough simple cooking supplies (ie. oil), enough trash bags (found just couple of them), less stringent trash removal rules on behalf of guests as significant amount is being charged for cleaning itself. In addition the trash disposal is in driving distance. I do recommend the property owner overall.
