The Crowne plaza Suzhou was very clean. The bed very so comfortable and the room was good.
The breakfast was superb. Lots of options both Chinese and western.
It is located near a shopping centre and also easy access to the metro.
There is a walkway around jinji lake accessible from the hotel.
We ate 3 nights in the Prince restaurant in the hotel. On 2 occasions, the food was superb. On our last night, the service was dreadful and we waited over 1 hour for food. We asked for non spicy food...

The Marriott is a well appointed hotel with most that you need. Location is a little away from main Suzhou but metro is nearby and taxis easy to find. The rooms are good except the heating in the room, even without the the air conditioning is a little warm. The food is good although a little crowded at breakfast times. The coffee shop is a good alternative for a quick snack and has great coffee!

As my first time overseas and to a country that doesn’t speak English, the staff were exceptional and extremely helpful and knowledgeable and most could speak a little bit of English. No problem was an issue for them and they went above and beyond to make sure my stay was amazing. They even showed me how to use the app needed to pay and order a didi. Breakfast was amazing with a lot choices for everyone’s taste. Would definitely recommend for anyone travelling to Suzhou

Excellent hotel. View is great, eateries across the road. But you would prefer to have a car to stay here. The breakfast is good and the room is spacious and modern. For the price, is a steal. But make sure you get the room with view of the lake.
