"This property was fabulous. The hosts had everything you could imagine to make our stay wonderful and were very responsive if contacted. The house is beautifully appointed and the beds were very comfortable. This house has a short walk across the dunes to the beach. There is even a fish cleaning station outside. We will definitely be back. Matagorda has beautiful beaches with lots of shells and you can drive on the beach (if you have 4-wheel drive). If you have a little one or a pet they have all you need for them too. Great house, great location! Go Gorda! "

"Had a good stay. I had forgotten where the downstairs lights were located and Ken helped me find them. The cabin has all your basic needs. This is our second time staying in this cabin and we will be booking again soon. Great place!"

"Everything was fine but the weather! We couldn't even see the water the first day. And we left early because of the fear of ice storms. But, our host did offer us a different weekend before time so it definitely was not an issue with them.We did enjoy our day of sitting on the couch and bibge watching TV!!"

"There were 3 coffee cups for 9 registered guests and not enough flatware for the 6 who actually came. No dish rag or dish towels. A blind was down, exposing the whole bedroom to the river. No reading lamps in the bedrooms. Lots of leftover things from prior guests. The water was lukewarm at the best of times. Just not well managed, but the sheets were clean and the ac worked."
