About this property
Entire place
You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
Grace Oaks is a large rustic cabin for your retreat or getaway. Nestled in mountains, just a mile and a half from Mariposa, 'The Gateway to Yosemite National Park and decorated with the theme of the wildlife that roam nearby, you'll enjoy coming home to this retreat after a day in Yosemite, or Historic Mariposa. The home features a game room (pool table and foosball, wrap around deck, fire circle, TV, Books, Wifi, a fully functional kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, fireplace w/ insert. Nearby Mariposa and other historic towns like Coulterville, Hornitos, Bear Valley, the Mariposa museum, and the state mineral exhibit are fun to explore. In the summer the town is alive with tourists, weekend 'Music on the Green' featuring local artists in a lovely park setting, occasional open air movies on the park lawn. A fun time to visit is in the spring, when the falls in Yosemite are running. Mariposa has it's butterfly festival, and parade (usually the first weekend in May.) The poppies in the Briceburg canyon are breath-taking. Fall is also wonderful; Starting with the Labor Day Parade and old fashioned Mariposa County Fair. I love the colors that come with the changing of the leaves, and the crisp air. Winter is great, especially if we have a few snows! The Mariposa Christmas parade is usually the first weekend in December, as is the annual Christmas Craft fair. Yosemite offers some fun activities at the Ahwannee, as well as ice skating, and skiing, or it's always fun to drive there to see the Lord's majestic Creation. It's also fun to just relax at Grace Oaks... away from the hustle and on the porch and watch for deer (which I see here everyday,) wild turkeys, quail,& rabbits, while you enjoy a good book...( and I just saw a coyote there today.) Roast marshmellows around our fire circle, or hang out under the stars in our Jacuzzi. Nothing beats a family Christmas away from the city. Get away and remember what a simple quiet CHRISTmas is really all about. You can't beat the price... all these rooms and a kitchen for the same price of one little stuffy hotel room. What do you have to lose?. ;) Finally, there are outdoor surveillance cameras on the property.

Great for a group with children. Had everything we needed. Enjoyed watching the sun come up over the mountains as we sipped our morning coffee. Enjoyed seeing the jack rabbit run around. Hot tub was a major plus.
My nephew works for Shutterfly and thinks the photos don't give an accurate picture of how nice the place is. My family, all 3 generations, really enjoyed the house and all of its features.

Fantastic Vacation Home
We loved Grace Oaks so much we were sad we only booked it for one night! We will definitely be coming back. There is plenty of room. Our family of 6 had plenty of space. We loved the game room and thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. There were so many details that made this such a lovely and comfortable place to stay. We particularly appreciated the 2 high chairs and 2 pack n plays that accommodated our 1 yr twins.
This place was pretty convenient for our day trips into Yosemite. It took us just a little over an hour to get to the Arch Rock entrance and just a little longer to get to the Wawona entrance and Mariposa Grove. We left at 7:00 each morning and didn’t have too much trouble with traffic getting into the park.
We were very happy to have the four bedrooms and lots of beds since we were all adults and wanted to spread out a little.
The host answered my messages quickly and was very responsive to our requests.
We enjoyed the outdoor space!
Great stay!
We had a great time at the house. It's very clean and comfortable. We had three kids with us (ages 6, 6, and 3) and they all had a lot of fun. There are tons of old board games, books, stuffed animals, and an old foozball table, and pool table. Also, it's just a short 5 min drive to downtown mariposa. The owners were very considerate and responsive.
Note: there is a cat that hangs out near the house a lot so take care if you have allergies.

Great family spot for retreat or Yosemite visit
This home was wonderful for our family visit to Yosemite! It was roughly 40 minutes to the El Portal entrance on main, but windy roads. It's also less than ten minutes from Mariposa and an assortment of shops.
The home is very comfortable both inside and out. We saw deer in the mornings, enjoyed wonderful stargazing at night, and would welcome more time there! There were six of us and plenty of room to spread out or join together for meals. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and a closet was stocked with games, books, and movies. It's a great location for kids or adults. We hope to visit again.
We loved our stay. House is very closed to Midpines for the rafting location. Hot tub was a great relaxing way... we loved the beautiful deck!
House is spacious, well decorated.
Few things can be improved such as upstairs bedroom ac vent. It was too loud.
Dishwasher didn't run, so we ended up washing manually.

Great Place to Stay near Yosemite Park, Great Hosts
The house is quite lovely, very clean, spacious, nice bathrooms, beautiful furnishings and the beds were very comfortable and that meant a great deal to us after an active 1/2 day in Yosemite. Ken's suggestion to visit the tourist information center in Mariposa before we went to the park was crucial and spot on!. She gave us wise advice about visiting the park (because of summer crowds) and mentioned a great restaurant in downtown Mariposa for dinner (ranked number one I believe and delicious). On our second day we got to the park early and experienced much before the crowds (her advice). We were pleased with our visit (only one and 1/2 days) and experience and highly recommend the house and area. Thanks from Sharon

More than expected!!!
After looking at so many rentals for our Yosemite vacation we came across Grace Oaks. We were 3 couples just looking to get away! Grace Oaks was perfect every room has a fireplace and TV. It was a perfect place to just sit on the deck or in the hot tub and enjoy the scenery of mountains. We all have kids which we left at home but would be a perfect place to also enjoys with kids they were fully equipped with everything we would have needed. We weren't sure how to use the hot tub when we first arrived eager to start our vacation and a quick call to Ken and Victoria and they walked us through it and were just as sweet as can be. We felt right at home. Mariposa is a very cute little town just 40mins to Yosemite. Thank you for a lovely stay and we cant wait to be back!

Need more stars!
This was by far one of the best vacations ever- much of that due to such a wonderful experience at Grace Oaks. It was me, my husband, two kids and my parents. For not much more than the cost of a hotel room, we were able to spread out and enjoy this beautiful home of 4 rooms and 3 baths with all the amenities of home. It was extremely clean and very well stocked. (I was shocked at all the small appliances offered in the kitchen!) The view from the back made for lovely mornings waking up and eating breakfast on the back porch. My 4 year old looked at me and said, "Thank you, Mom, for this awesome house to stay in!" They had a blast and we did as well. Yosemite was the main reason for our vacation and this is the perfect location if staying outside the park. The only negative I have is I only wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much! If we weren't headed across country for military move, I would definitely be staying again. But, I will give recommendation to everyone I know!
The 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grace Oaks. The house is beautiful and Victoria quickly responded to any of my questions. It was a beautiful drive to Yosemite!
Pictures do not do this house justice. It is very cozy, well furnished and kitchen was stocked. We had a wonderful time. The pool table could use replacing as many rips and broken pieces, but we didn't use it anyways. Loved that there were toys and movies for the kids. We would stay here again.
We can’t thank Victoria & Ken enough. Our family needed this trip & how blessed we all were with what a miracle week it turned out to be.
We all look forward to returning.
God Bless!

We had a nice stay. The house is a little dated and definitely not fancy (reminds me of my grandparents), but many would find that homey and charming. It was extremely clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. You can’t beat the price for the amount of space. We were close to restaurants and stores and a reasonable distance from the park for daily visits. My only complaint was that it was a little hot and the house took a long time to cool our first night after arriving from a long day in the park. It was much more comfortable the second night. We only stayed a couple nights and unfortunately never had a chance to try out the hot tub or games.
My family and I (eight people total) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grace Oaks! From the moment we entered and found a kind welcome message with some sweet treats we knew it was going to the a great stay. The home was perfect as our base for exploring Yosemite and the local area. It was quite a treat to come "home" to showers and a soak in the hot tub after long days of hiking. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the layout accomodating. Our teens and tweens enjoyed having space to spread out as needed, and gathered by the ping pong table downstairs and fire pit to roast smores. The kitchen is huge and fully stocked with every possible cooking appliance. There are a selection of spices and condiments in case you forget something on your grocery list. Victoria responded promptly via text to a couple questions we had. We couldn't have had a better vacation over Easter break. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful property with us!
Comfortable home with rustic touches. We had trouble with the WiFi which made communication challenging as we had no cell service the first 2 days. We didn’t realize the hot tub was seasonal until after our booking. Great location and very comfortable for our week of Yosemite adventure.
We stayed there for 2 nights. So far it was one of my greatest experience compared to the others. Hospitality was great, property was clean and full of amenities to name a few hot tub, grill station, spacious rooms and property owner was so helpful and flexible. Really appreciate it.
The house was perfect, the advertisement was accurate, everything was easy. The owners were super helpful and kind. The rules and clean-up procedures were manageable. It was the best experience any of us had ever had on VRBO or any similar service.
