We booked this place for a last minute overnight weekend stay. We are from Greenville but love the Lake Lure area. It was perfect for our short mountain getaway and only about 35ish minutes from Lake Lure. The inside is very cozy, the view is great and we loved the hot tub! It was great!
This cozy home was such a great getaway location for our family and dogs! We especially loved the gated porch and patio. The kitchen area is plenty big enough to prepare meals, and the huge dining room table is perfect for games and puzzles. Next time we will come in the warmer months, but despite the weather, there’s plenty of hiking and exploring nearby.
The cabin was clean & easy to find, the view from the deck was amazing , very quiet & relaxing. Convenient to go into to town if you chose for shopping or dinner, yet far enough away to enjoy the sound of nature. The owner/manager was fantastic with communication & addressed questions quickly. Overall beautiful, my only complaints are the “ stairs” /path down to hot tub or fire pit are tricky. We would definatley stay again!
This cabin is super cute and accurately described. We chose this cabin for its privacy and it did not disappoint. You really are tucked away and feel very secluded. The upstairs king bed is super comfortable! The chairs outside on the deck were not very comfortable to us. They are plastic and sit very low to the ground making it challenging for older folks to get in/out of. The hot tub is underneath the upper deck and you must walk down a steep incline to get there. This cabin is in the mountains so that should have been expected. We opted not to use the hot tub because of it's location and it was so hot during our stay in July. If you rent this cabin, you can expect a beautiful view, lovely cabin, and privacy.
The cabin is comfortable enough with a pretty view, however, a bit of money is needed to bring the place up to par with the price for the stay.
Inside walls need repair and repainting. The upstairs bedside tables are merely counter stools that aren’t flat to hold anything evenly. Some kitchen pans are rusted. The downstairs bath needs some towel bars and hooks and a table or something to put things on.
Outside, the deck has one old dirty chair , no cover for the grill. Sorely needs a table and chairs. The walk to the fire pit is very steep and the chairs around the pit are uncomfortable because of the slope. Need to dig out some to make it even. Firewood was supposed to be provided but what there was wet and needed splitting. The hot tub is in backwards which is very awkward. The outside needs to be power washed and cleaned of bugs and cobwebs. Ecck. There are wood chips all over the deck from bees boring through the cabin wood. This place could be so much better if some time and money was put into it.
Overall great experience and a perfect cabin for a quick getaway.

The location was good, but the kitchen was dirty I had to clean the oven for 3 hours before we could use it. the dishes were just thrown into the cabinets some were dirty. The fireplace did not work. Outside the grill was disgusting and again I spent an hour cleaning. there were several safety issues, string lights were on the ground right where you walked into the hot tub and there were exposed electrical boxes on the deck.
Had a wonderful time at this cabin in the mountains. Beautiful views and spent a lot of time in the hot tub watching the sun rise each day. Would come back.
My husband and I stayed one night at the cabin to celebrate my birthday. It was so quiet, peaceful, and private. The hot tub was wonderful. Everything was clean and well stocked. We loved our stay and hope to come back again in the future.
The vrbo stay was wonderful. The house was clean. The beds were comfortable. The view was really great, especially without any leaves on the trees in Winter. The kitchen had everything we needed and the hot tub was awesome. Also, wifi is about the best you are going to get up in the mountains - definitely possible to stream or work from the cabin if need be. Smart TV in the living room was great and the loft was awesome. Really easy access to thousands of trails and to the Lake Lure and Asheville areas.
This place was amazing. It was exactly what we needed to reset. Bring coffee condiments, remember woods = wildlife aka bugs (they even have bug spray if you forget 😍), and then enjoy yourself! My only issue was I couldn’t get to the fire pit cause the stairs are gravel and I kept slipping. The hot tub was also down gravel stairs but they weren’t as steep.
Great location in country and close to surrounding areas
We wanted a quiet getaway in the mountains and this property was great. Upon arrival the cabin looked great clean bright and cozy. The king sized bed was very comfortable and we had plenty of space in cabin. The kitchen has the basics you need with updated appliances. The king sized bed in the loft is very comfortable. There are neighbors at the base of the hill we noticed when in the hot tub. The hot tub was relaxing but the chemicals were way too strong it irritated our eyes and skin. We discovered the lights after searching to find a timer up in the rafters it is very dark where the tub is located why? We thought about having a fire but the trees and straw in yard are in close proximity to the fire pit which seemed unsafe. We understand this cabin is in the woods but the exterior of the house needs some attention there were cobwebs, dead bees and outside windows were dirty. We would make the suggestion that a place for towels would be nice and a shelf behind the hot tub to hold the cover because it is difficult to lift. There is an awesome view of the hills through the large windows but there is a pine tree right in the middle that blocks it. Overall we enjoyed our stay thank you
