Beaver's Den is an apartment nestled in the Beautiful Smokey Mountains; and only 2 miles to Cherokee Harrahs Casino, in Murphy, NC. We are only 23 miles from Field of the Woods. And we have 2 great options for whitewater rafting, and zip lining, with Ocoee River in one direction and the Nantahala River in the opposite direction. There are lots of beautiful waterfalls and great walking trails all around with abundant natural wildlife. Perhaps you would enjoy a stroll through Joyce Keller Memorial Forest and seeing the majestic 4.5 century old timbers towering hundreds of feet into the air. Or you can just relax and enjoy your privacy within the warm wood walls of this, open living space. With full kitchen that is equipped with your necessities. 1 full bath with shower and 1 queen bed in the bedroom. There is plenty of closet space and drawers for your clothes. On the nightstands are lamps with USB ports for charging your devices. The Living room is equipped with a sofa to snuggle on while enjoying the electric fireplace or the 42" TV. Outside on the deck is a small table and chairs, if you wish to have your morning coffee outside in the crisp mountain air.

It was right next to the KOA and the river. It was nice just a little small place, but it was fixed up really cute the bathroom. You just didn’t have room to move in little bit bigger bathroom and it would’ve been great.

Just a very enjoyable stay in a rustic cabin. We loved the fifties decor. We felt as though we were entering a time warp. Very clean and comfortable place to spend the night.Gorgeous view from the back porch.

It’s really it’s own little house where you stay upstairs. Not sure if there is a downstairs but I also didn’t look closely.Clean, simple, cost effective and did the job well. Great location literally right up the road from the casino area and Murphy

We enjoyed the mountaineer hospitality. The neighboring campers were friendly and the scenery was fantastic. A great weekend or vacation getaway 🙂.

A cozy cabin!

Beavers Den really felt like a mountain cabin, with a cutely decorated exterior and interior. Everything worked fine, and was enough for the two of us to relax and explore the area. Wilma is a nearby host and she and Doris were great at communicating. We’ll come again!

Restful and Delightful

My wife and I have rented in this area for many years to visit family nearby. This unit and location met or exceeded our needs and expectations. The owner was a delight, and we feel we were treated like family. We will plan our next visit with family to rent there as well.

A wonderful get a way

It was in a great place . It was close to anything like restaurants and shopping and our host was wonderful. We didn't need anything that was already taken care of and a lot more. If you are looking for a weekend getaway or a few days stay I certainly recommend this one. It felt like home.

Great short stay!

This was a perfect space to stay in over the weekend as I attended a wedding in Murphy. The house was clean and ready, there were some fresh fruits and snacks available which was so nice as I was on the go. It was the perfect size for me and my mom. Doris and Wilma were so lovely and went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything that I needed, they responded quickly and addressed any need I had.

Very clean and neat, and price is good. Had everything we needed for our stay, and was close enough to everything we wanted to do. The only drawback would be, if you are looking for a place with majestic mountain views, this is not it. This was not a problem for us, however, as we were spending most of our time away doing other things. Miss Wilma is worth the stay just in herself!

Great little extras!

Met a very nice lady named Wilma when checking in. She made sure if we needed anything, to not hesitate to contact her. Wilma had so many little extras that made the trip great. From fresh fruit and candy, to complete coffee setup with creamers and sweeteners, Wilma had the place set up like home. We didn't have to go shopping for any supplies. Thanks Wilma for your hospitality!

perfect

we went for my husbands 41st birthday , for 5 days , mrs wilma lives on the property and she’s very sweet , we arrived late and they messaged us to check on us and when we did get there we walked in to find a birthday cake and birthday balloons for my husband .! no other place has ever went above and beyond that way before. there was also water in the fridge , ice filled in the freezer , a bowl of snacks and a big bowl of fresh fruit as well. they were very responsive to messages and the stay was very pleasant . it was peaceful and perfect location for us to travel to anywhere we needed to go. we loved our stay very much and cannot wait to go spend more time there in the future
