"Our stay at the little cabin in the woods was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt the stress of everyday life melt away. The setting is incredibly peaceful and serene, surrounded by beautiful trees and nature, yet it’s just minutes from everything Maple Valley has to offer. It truly feels like you’re tucked away in the middle of nowhere while still being conveniently close to town.The cabin itself is well appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, making it feel warm, cozy, and inviting.Rachel was an outstanding host. She was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly responsive whenever we had a question. Her communication made the entire experience seamless and stress-free.One of our favorite parts of the trip was spending our days fly fishing in the river, then returning to relax around the firepit in the evenings. Mornings were just as special, enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch while listening to the river and taking in the peaceful surroundings.If you’re looking for the perfect combination of comfort, tranquility, and convenience, this cabin is a true gem. We left feeling refreshed, recharged, and already looking forward to our next visit. We highly recommend staying here!"

"We found our new home away from home. We are so comfortable and relaxed in this beautiful wood cabin on that beautiful lake. Wonderfully stocked so relaxing close to our kids. Basically heaven on earth."

"I loved this little cabin! I think had my intentions been lake time I may have loved it more. But my goal was to dodge World Cup prices at Seattle hotels for two days before my cruise and it did help me do that! What I will mention here is that I wasn’t quite prepared for the gravel path to get to the property itself. Not a very long trek and it was well maintained but I could not bring my luggage down on it without making a real mess of it. If you want something near the lake and want something intimate, this is the spot for you! The addition of the TV made this city dweller much more comfortable in the relative peace of the lake and the surrounding woods. Thanks, Emily!"

"It was the perfect summer vacation home for my family. It was very clean. The host was extremely responsive. We found everything we needed to cook in the kitchen for our families. Our 8 year old was entertained 24/7. Breakfast was enough for everyone and then some. AND an easy to use espresso machine!! The open concept living room/kitchen had tons of seating, we could all hangout and talk in the same room. All the water toys made for plenty to do. They even provided new floaties and a pump. The motorized dock allowed Grandma to come out on the lake with us safely. Having life jackets adds an extra level of safety as well! The neighbors were very friendly. The house feels secluded amongst the trees but is also just a few minutes drive from “town.” 3 stories provided enough room for everyone to have privacy. We loved the interior design. All in all we had a great time and if we ever come back this way, we will stay here again!"
Maple Valley Hummingbird Studio

"We spent four nights at the Hummingbird Studio in mid-June. The unit is super cute and the outdoor patio and yard was wonderful, as we were traveling with our pooch. I love the nature setting, and all the birds that would come to eat off the bird feeder. It is indeed a lovely here.The studio is spacious, well-equipped and clean. Communication was easy with the host, and we were only four miles from our dear friends in Maple Valley and many amenities.There are three things that renters should be aware of. 1. The grinding toilet is not "a little noisy." It's a lot noisy. It grinds when you flush the toilet, run the faucets in bathroom and kitchen, and also when you are showering. It would grind about every 40 seconds while showering. If you're a person who gets up early while your partner is still sleeping, you can't flush or shower without waking the other person. 2. While AC is not usually required in these parts, it was on the warmer side when we were in town. We were grateful for the window fan/AC unit, but it was quite loud too. We had to remove the large hose to the window when we were leaving the unit in order to lock window.3. There's a weird smell in the unit. Could be the septic? We chose to cover the shower drain, and to keep the bathroom door closed with the fan on, and it helped minimize the smell. We enjoyed our stay, despite the aforementioned points. Giving this rental 4 stars, but its more like a 3.5."
