Chamonix | Year-Round Fun w/ Shared Pool!

Summary:
Come stay at this charming 2 BD / 2 BA Chamonix condo, perfect for two couple or family getaway.

The Space:
The Canyon Lodge is a short walk away, perfect for the skiing and snowboarding winter season. The shops, restaurants, and hiking trails are within walking distance, a free shuttle ride, or a short drive away. There is a large walk-in ski locker down the hall for you to store your skis, snowboards, and boots, or even bikes and golf clubs.

The living room is situated with a cozy gas fireplace with a flat screen TV, DVR, and DVD player. There are 3 ceiling fans located in the living room and both bedrooms to stay cool or to move heat around. Gather around with some hot chocolate and pop in a movie with your family. Wifi is provided for your entertainment. There is a private balcony with a gas BBQ to grill up all your favorites available for summer use.

This condo has a full kitchen equipped with a toaster, drip coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker, kettle, wine ware and more. Don't forget to load up with a hearty breakfast before hitting the slopes or seeking adventure on a nature hike! There is a dining table and a breakfast bar.

The master bedroom is located on the same floor as the living room. There is a comfortable California King Sleep Number bed, flat screen TV, DVD player, an en suite bathroom, and a ceiling fan.

The second bedroom is located upstairs. It has a Queen Sleep Number bed, Twin bunk bed, and a flat screen TV. There is a bathroom located en suite as well.

This condo is located on the 2nd floor and requires a flight of stairs to access. Chamonix has several amenities to check out during your vacation including a totally remodeled clubhouse, with a pool table, ping pong table, poker table, and fireplace, a fire pit, sauna, and hot tub. The pool and BBQ stations are only open during the summer. Coin laundry is available in the club house. Some of these amenities may not be available due to COVID.

The hot tub is available for time slots and guests must sign up on the sign up sheet in the laundry room. One family is allowed per time. There may be additional restrictions on the number of people allowed at a given time. The spas may be closed for various periods of time for cleaning/sanitation. The upper spa will be closed.

*Please note. Canyon Lodge closed for this season on April 18, this is the approximate date Canyon closes every year; Check Mammoth Mountain's official site for updates.

Early check-in and late checkout are based on availability and require approval, and may be subject to an additional fee of up to $60.00 depending on the number of additional hours requested. If you ski, it’s a great location up at the top of the hill. Otherwise, decent location for hiking and being outdoors. Our apt at Chamonix, seemed a bit dated. Best part was the well equipped kitchen.

Great stay. Great condo for a family ski weekend.

We stayed here with out family of 4 and had a great time. The condo has everything you need, it is a short walk to Canyon Lodge and Bob, the owner, was incredibly responsive and helpful.

Fantastic!

Great place to stay. Has everything you need and is clean and comfy. Bbq on balcony is added plus. Majority of places you need to carry all your stuff down to shared bbq area.

Great family setup!

Super convenient to the slopes, and easy in and out. Cozy and warm family room setting for games, TV or whatever in the evening. Excellent value making for an excellent mountain getaway.

Great Location

This property is just as advertised. Well equipped kitchen, easy access to the jacuzzi area, walking distance to canyon lodge. The bunk beds are very uncomfortable for an adult to sleep on but would probably be fine for small children. All in all a great trip!

Summer get away

So nice to be in the cool Mountains during a hot summer day! The place was nice and roomier than I expected from the pictures. Club house was great with really hot hot tubs and a cool pool. It would have been nice if they did have a few extra outside lounge chairs. The management team was really responsive with questions.

Nice 2 bedroom 2 bath condo close to Canyon Lodge

We enjoyed staying so close to Canyon Lodge. It was only a 5 minute walk and just enough to stretch. The condo had a nice open concept from the kitchen to the living and dinning room. It had a beautiful fireplace. Very close to the shuttle stop. Just across the street. Condo was close to the jacuzzi and rec room with a full size pool table, ping pong table, and it even had a poker table.

Week ski vacation w two pre teens

Really good location near Canyon Lodge. Two hot tubs for after skiing which were easy to get the kids into (family friendly at least in late afternoon). Condo was good with big kitchen and warm fireplace. Closet space was a little lacking particularly in downstairs bedroom so a little harder to keep things organized than would be ideal, compounded by lack of in unit washer / dryer. But overall was a solid choice for three of us for the week

Walking Distance to Canyon Lodge

The condo met all of our needs. It can sleep six comfortably, with four sharing the upstairs loft. King bed downstairs was very comfortable. The price was fair for a 2 bed/ 2 full bath unit. The condo is close enough to walk to Canyon Lodge, but carrying ski/snowboard gear makes it more difficult. We drove our equipment over and then parked back at the condo as parking at Canyon Lodge fills up early. Everything was in working order. Check in process was very easy. We really have no complaints.

Mammoth Retreat

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Building is a touch old, but the unit is in fair shape. The beds are good, but it was a bit dusty, not enough toilet paper, and air circulation in summer is not the best. Furniture is a touch fragile as well. Any more than 4 people and it will feel real tight.

Exeptional Acommodations!

My husband and I recently stayed at this location and were very happy be did! It is very close to Canyon Lodge for skiing and even in summer months offers a great location which is close to lakes for fishing or hiking. The owners have provided a most comfortable and well-appointed facility complete with all the kitchen items anyone could possible require. If one doesn't feel up to cooking, there are many good restaurants nearby and dining in Mammoth is always casual. We enjoyed playing golf at Sierra Star and Snow Creek which are just gorgeous courses! The condo has the most comfortable beds (Sleep Number) affording a most relaxing sleep. Although we didn't require it this vacation, there is a gas-powered fireplace which would really be appreciated during those chilly nights in winter. A pool, spa and recreation room complete the facilities. Additionally, there is a free shuttle bus that serves the area and runs yearlong. For comfort, convenience and relaxation, this is the place!

Cold and a bit neglected

The fireplace didn't work and even if it did, you would need to push a button every two hours. The alternative was a wall heater mounted just below the thermostat that controlled it. When the heater turned on, the thermostat would just turn it off. Don't use the humidifier in the closet of the master bedroom = it shorts out when you turn it on.

The condo had all the supplies we needed. It was clean and we felt safe. The bed was comfortable i had a good night sleep. The downside was during checkin had a hard time making door code work. Also would appreciate to indicate the condo on the second floor without elevator. Hard for a senior like me. Overall it was a nice stay. By the way i would also have liked if i could directly talk to the host instead of just exchanging text messages.

Boys trip mammoth

The property was great, had everything we needed but the location is unmatched. We could literally walk to the lifts by canyon lodge and on top of that walk to and from the apres. This is my go to spot at mammoth.

Good location, unit as described, poor check in

Good location. Convenient unit. Dated, but that was expected. One negative was the check in process for two reasons: 1) E-mailed access codes did not work. 2) I asked about being able to check in at 3:30 pm instead of 4 pm. Got a long e-mail saying how they will try and do their best. We showed up at 3:45. Nobody was cleaning the unit. Access codes did not work. Called the office. Were told "no, not possible, nothing we can do". "ok, fine", came back at 4:30. Access codes still did not work. After multiple calls they WERE able to open the unit remotely, i.e. they lied the first time. Then they texted us the working codes. What was the point of jerking us around?.

Superb location!!!

We stayed here for 4 nights. The location is unbeatable. Walkable to Canyon Lodge - 5 min or less to parking lot of Canyon Lodge. The condo has the basics. To clarify this is a one bedroom on the main floor with an open upstairs loft. The building walls are thin so we heard the teenage girl next door till past midnight. The loft is a little dark so bring a book light for night time reading! Outside parking was convenient. Overall this place was great! Thank you!
