Birthday weekend away
We had a great weekend at this property. The interior decor was lovely & the cleanliness was excellent. The kitchen had top of the range appliances & well stocked utensils & crockery etc.
The hot tub was an added bonus for our enjoyment.
We have stayed at Lower Mill several times now & would definitely stay at this property again.
Had a great meal at the nearby pub, The Bakers Inn.
All in all a fantastic weekend. Thanks.

Perfect luxury break
Had a wonderful stay here for a 50th celebration. The property was immaculate and everything was in great condition. The rooms are large and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The Xbox and board games went down well with the youngest member of the family. The rooftop garden and hot tub were bliss, even in October! We love to paddle board so being able to access the lake from the property was a bonus. The site itself is kept well and the use of the spa was a welcome treat. Overall we had a great time in a great location and would definitely recommend!

September Stay
Overall, the property was perfect in an excellent location. However the sofa was not comfortable - appreciate this may be personal choice in the end, but appeared to be style over substance !! The rest of the property was excellent
We stayed for our wedding weekend, it was just what we wanted, although the weather wasn’t great for the weekend we still had a great time, watching the rain dance on the lake and nice chilled days in the swimming pool and spa. We have stayed in the Lower Mill Estate before so knew what to expect, and we always love it!

Beautiful location and accommodation
We had a lovely 3 night stay at 43 Green Haven. The property itself is very well equipped and maintained. The main bedroom is amazing, the rest of the rooms are quite small but sufficient. Bathrooms are very modern as is the kitchen. The roof terrace facilities were spot on and sitting out on the deck watching the ducks was very peaceful. Overall a great stay and highly recommend it!

dreamy home away from home
What a stunning place to stay. It was incredibly clean, it had every single thing you could think of that most holiday homes don’t have e.g washing up liquid, cork screw, dish washer tablets.
We had such a good time here and highly recommend if someone wants a bit of luxury and so close to some beautiful places to visit.
The rooftop hottub was the actual winner here and the view of the lakes. Take me back!!!

A fantastic half term break with teens
We stayed for a long weekend and the property and found it well equipped, comfortable and a perfect configuration for our group.
Flexibility on the bed arrangements with twins being available was really useful, well finished bathrooms, a lovely log burner with logs, fab hot tub on the roof terrace, great views of the lake with a peaceful view of the wild fowl from the big windows meant we could have a really relaxing time. The kids used the pool and the gym which was an excellent bonus, the club house on site was great for breakfast, and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook a roast on the Sunday evening. Overall, a lovely property with high end furniture, fixtures and fittings made it feel like a true home from home.
We would go back to this area in the Summer to make more use of the watersports when the weather is better, but we took the time to visit Bath and Stonehenge, no more than an hour away, which are places we have not been to before and this area provided an excellent base for this, along with the beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds.
Would highly recommend

A great home for the week (with a few issues)
We stayed at the property August 2024, and generally had a nice week overall. The property itself is very high spec, and we made the most of everything it had to offer. It was also very clean on arrival and provided all the comforts it advertised. It felt very much like a new build still. The location was great overlooking the lake, and the roof was perfect given there wasn't enough space on the ground floor for decking like the other lake houses. This was also great during the nights as it was elevated away from the lake life. The activities available were also perfect and we used the jetty to start/finish the water sports.
The downside we experienced which ultimately felt out of Orion's control, but the property next door extended their decking during the stay. Unfortunately this started during my mothers 70th birthday lunch and involved a mini digger/loader digging up the property next door (about 3-5m away) which was very noisy for a number of hours. Unfortunately the way they managed the project meant the workmen worked on this Mon-Friday stretching it out over the week, digging, sawing, drilling etc. probably as respectful as they could have been but at the end of the day it still had a fairly major impact on our experience. Unfortunately this did ruin the peacefulness for the time on which they worked which usually finished by 2pm each day. We actually had to amend what we did to avoid the hours they were there which felt a bit rough for a premium stay.
Despite the issues, the party did enjoy the stay. I probably wouldn't recommend this property until 2026. Apart from the occurrence above which would of only impacted us, there were other building works going on quite close to the house, and across the estate. This mainly effects the value for money as the pricing really should reflect this for a premium stay. I would also be potentially concerned if the estate was busier as the houses are quite close together.

Fabulous lake side property, roof terrace with sun from dawn till dusk and AC in all bedrooms..great
Our 4th stay in an Orion hot tub lakeside property and they never ever disappoint!
Green Haven offers a luxurious property in a perfect location, within a v private part of the Lower Mill Estate.
Roof terrace has sun all day long, with plenty seating options and v private hot tub.
The house has everything and more you would need for a long stay..we were there 10 days and wish could have stayed longer. Air con in the bedrooms was an unexpected and v welcome bonus during a heatwave.
The Lower Mill Estate is lovely, and has outdoor pool to myself on 2 separate occasions...bliss.
Plenty to do in the area
..recommend Bakers Arms in Somerford Keynes & Greyhound Inn in Siddington.
Loads of great running trails and plenty kayaking or paddle boarding. Our boys also took part in nearby air rifling which they loved.
We'll definitely be back...highly recommended.

Just Wonderful
We have stayed in many properties at Lower Mill and this is by far the best! So well equipped, beautifully decorated and conveniently located within the estate. My only note to people with children is that there is no barrier between the patio decking and the lake. If the French doors are open then the open water is literally metres away. It’s not a negative at all but just something to be aware of if travelling with small children. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

Fantastic stat
As a family of four, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Minety Lake. The house was spotless with all equipment needed for a comfortable stay. We were very impressed with the air fryer!
As the house is situated on the lake it would have been an added bonus to have a canoe or kayak included with the property . Even though it was possible to rent a canoe / kayak from the activity hub, the prices were quite expensive. If we do return, we would most definitely consider bringing our own canoe / kayak.
The Lower Mill Estate is very well kept and a quiet holiday destination. We ordered a take away pizza from the pizza shack, and even though very expensive, the food was tasty! We also used the inside pool, which was very clean and well kept.
During our stay, we visited Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold and Oxford, and all three destinations were very accessible from the estate.
We particularly liked the roof set up as the hot tub was private in comparison to nearby properties. Even though we did not have the weather to fully appreciate the roof area, once again, the amenities were fantastic having a set of tables and chairs, sofa, BbQ, relaxation bed and the hot tub. There was also table and chairs and a picnic bench outside the patio doors.
The communication by Orion holidays was excellent throughout and even though not used, there was a 24/7 phone line.
We would definitely recommend this accommodation to others and we would have no hesitation to return here again.
