"Had a great stay for a week at this hotel. Definitely a step up from the hotel behind it, and the location on Cook Road is nicely surrounded by various food and shopping options. The two double bed room was very spacious and the bathroom was nice, however I felt the bathroom did not have sufficient ventilation and the use of a sliding barn door on the bathroom was a bit lacking in the privacy department. The microwave being located outside of the room is a bit inconvenient, but it ended up being very close to my room. The refrigerator did not seem to get particularly cold. Staff were excellent, very helpful and kind. The pool area was clean and served as a great area to host my friends. Additionally, the rooms with balconies that come out to that area are a neat concept. The smoking gazebo is nice as a smoker, but I would appreciate a couple more being added as groups of people were occupying it at times throughout the day as a hang out spot (valid as it’s a nice spot to be.) Also some guy dropped an onion slice in there and left it (not valid.) The only major negative experience I had was when the water went out unexpectedly for a full day, That was very inconvenient as I was not able to shower, use the toilet or brush my teeth for a full day. I’m willing to consider it a fluke, but I was disappointed that it took so long to resolve. I will still happily stay at this hotel again in the future."

"loved the set up; the upstairs bedroom was like it's own on suite. I would change your note on the amentities; address that there is no boat launch on the lake; and you can bring a carry down boat. There are a couple of areas in the lake that are very shallow and can ground your boat on; one is near the shore by a home on the point between the small island and the shore on the left side. The second is in the cove farther down where there are two homes; one is brown the other is gray; just mention you will have to get in that area by staying close to those homes. It might be worth while to set a mooring post to on the shore to tie boats up to; that would prevent boats from drifting off. I can tell you that you have a lot of legal sized bass in the lake because they were spawning, and multiple ones were jumping out of the water. Great to watch, but it made it tough to fish; not your fault. I don't know if the batteries in the dartboard were getting weak; it would come on, but not keep score. Could be I couldn't figure it out. If its working, may need to post instructions on using. Big thumbs up to the bowling alley in town; we went there one night and got a bundle to bowl and mini golf; good entertainment. There was not a easy hole on that course; the staff there were great. I would mention you have a dvd/vcr combo and tell people to bring their own movies, as I did not see a collection. The cottonwood can be problem for allergy sufferers. Worth mentioning."

"We needed a place that allowed dogs for a weekend and where we could stay while we worked on our own cabin. We were pleasantly surprised by this cabin and the area that reminded me of the foothills of Kentucky and Tennessee. The cabin that felt like a home, was very clean and had everything we needed and more. All we really needed to bring with us was food, clothing, a pack and play and toys for our toddler grandson. The cabin is four seasons ready and has a beautiful view of the lake. We loved the comforting calls of the loons. We didn’t take advantage of the beautiful outdoors since it was a work weekend. It was also a drizzly, chilly, early spring weekend, but we were definitely comfortable and cozy when we were there."
