"Lovely welcoming gent at reception when I arrived. Room was exceptionally clean and tidy... only issue for me was not having a wall mounted magnifying mirror in the bathroom to apply makeup. Next time I will take one with me. Many hotels do have these fixed. Makes all the difference for us ladies. Didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that. Over all, a great place to stay and I would go again. "

"Our room on the ground floor of the new build area was spacious and well furnished. Menu for evening meal gave a wide choice. Our dishes were presented well. Breakfast was largely buffet with option to order other items."

"We used this hotel as a place to sleep for which it was excellent. About 10 to 15 minute walk from the station which for us was great (when not raining). We didn't have breakfast only because we prefer to sample local cafés of which there are a few very close."

"The hotel is very run down. The bedroom was ok but smelt like someone had been smoking in it. The Scouse female member of staff had zero customer service skills! On check in we were completely ignored as she argued with another member of the team about another guests breakfast payment. The gentleman who check me in was polite. We came to the bar later on for a drink and the same female member of staff once again ignored us completely and couldn't even acknowledge our presence. Another female member of staff came from through the back and yelled..."is anyone waiting". Food manners cost nothing and can either make it break the experience of an average hotel. I wouldn't return."
